ALBA education and travel offers two week language courses for children and teenagers aged 11-17 in a countryside campus next to Edinburgh.

ALBA education and travel offers language courses during the summer for children and teenagers aged 11-17 years old. These intensive programmes combine our philosophy of learning English in a fun way with a cultural and activity programme that ensures our young learners speak as much as possible during their stay.

Our programme provide excellent teaching in small classes. Every aspect of our programme is designed with the welfare of the student in mind: safe, convenient locations, excellent facilities and carefully selected accommodation.

Our students join us for two-week courses during the summer holidays. Some come in small groups, some as individuals. The common factor is that they all enjoy spending time here and, when they leave, they are very proud of the progress they have made in learning English.

Our teaching philosophy for Young Learners is simple: learning should be fun. A solid base of classroom learning and grammatical practice enables our Young Learners to explore English through conversation, role-play, trips and activities.

Staff members undergo in-person training as well as extensive background checks each summer.

Our goal is to ensure that our summer school is comprised of experienced, returning camp staff along with new individuals who bring a fresh perspective to camp.
