Logan is situated in Galloway in the south west of Scotland,it benifits from a mild climate which allows plants from more southerly locations to thrive.

This was the location in 1943 for secret testing and development of special equipment which would go on to be used in the Normandy Landings, the location was codenamed Mullberry Harbour and chosen in Galloway because the tidal race was similar to the northern French beaches.

Crawford Priory is a country house about 2 miles south west of Cupar, Fife, Scotland. It is a former residence of the Earls of Crawford, Earls of Glasgow and Barons Cochrane of Cults. It lies just outside the village of Springfield.

Dunmore Park is the name used to refer to the estate of the Earls of Dunmore. It is also the name most commonly used to refer to the grand mansion that George Murray, the 5th Earl of Dunmore, commissioned from the architect William Wilkins and built in the years between 1820 and 1825.

Thirlestane Castle is a castle set in extensive parklands near Lauder in the Borders of Scotland. The site is aptly named Castle Hill, as it stands upon raised ground. However, the raised land is within Lauderdale, the valley of the Leader Water. The land has been in the ownership of the Maitland family since 1587, and Thirlestane served as the seat of the Earls of Lauderdale. The castle was substantially extended in the 1670s by the first and only Duke of Lauderdale. Further additions were made in the 19th century. The castle is now cared for by a charitable trust, and is open to the public.
