Service great food reasonable

Stayed here recently , superb value and amazing staff . Really enjoyed our stay .
Night time atmosphere was relaxed and breakfast was excellent. Thankyou

Great value soup and sandwich đeal. Lovely old building and friendly service.

Room was definitely in need of a major overhaul with cracks in the walls, bare plaster and well worn carpet. The bar had a very limited choice of drinks and an out of draught beer and cider and two types of lager. Both the bar and restaurant menus were very limited. At breakfast time I couldn't believe it when I was told there was no bacon. The hotel is nothing like the description given on the website. One thing I will say is the staff are very helpful and friendly. At the moment the location is a bit difficult to find but that is due to road works. I personally wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Kevin Mark Penman, the conman behind the Pickle & Custard cafe and The Priory Bar & Kitchen outrage over NOT PAYING THE STAFF is running this hotel so before you go ahead and book a room here, you should consider that the poor waitress that will serve you your morning breakfast isn't being paid and is being used.
So so many people still waiting for their hard earned wages because this man dissolves companies that he's ran for a little while before he has to pay the tax on the company.
So so many people that he's ruined financially and he walks away and gets away with it.

You are a disgrace, not only him (the fat long grey haired conman) but his partners in crime Lyndsey Croy, short dark haired crow and Susan Bowman all belong in prison. Im sure they have children, but imagine if that happened to their children.. How would they feel?! To have worked so hard for literally nothing!!
Keep away people, and especially people who are looking for jobs out there, be aware of this man.
