Reiki is so relaxing and peaceful, and brings such a sense of wellbeing: it works on all levels of your being, helping to rebalance and harmonise your whole system, restoring you to a place of feeling better in all areas - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
This healing was very 'new' when I began in 1998, but has since become one of the most popular holistic healing modalities. Because it holds no cultural divisions, Reiki is open to all. As with most spiritual teachings, it is an energy that sees us all as interconnected and unique individuals. That said, Reiki is not necessarily 'spiritual', it is just a wonderful form of healing that connects you with yourself - away from the trauma and pressure of everyday life. There are no limitations with this healing, and the effects are often quite immediate. Generally though, the process takes a little longer to rebalance and connect you with the real you. When this alignment takes place, it is amazing what changes come about. Th is is one of those wonderful ways of taking time out for yourself, where you just lie on a couch for about 45 minutes, and find total peace and relaxation while the energy works on the deeper levels of your being.

Counselling is the talking part of the healing process where you have complete confidentiality and the space to discuss anything without judgement. A unique relationship of trust is built, within which you will be aided to open up and to work through any issues that are troubling to you. The support you find will help you to understand yourself better and enable you to move on with your life, either coming to terms with situations, or becoming strong enough to shed certain elements that are no longer growthful to you.

Blend the counselling and Reiki together and you have a wonderful healing modality that has a real feel-good factor. Used regularly, it can help you make the necessary changes in your life that can transform it forever and enable you to feel that life is good and that you are equipped to tackle anything.
