What can I say.... It was breathtaking!! We stayed in the Garden Cottage, it had 3 bedrooms 2 up 1 down, a huge eat in kitchen, and a living room that could be used as another bed room because it has a door. Their was a beautiful walkway that lead to the woods that offered pathways that lead to the Loch and Castle. It was truly stunning and we can't wait to book again!!
We just had our 3rd stay here in August of 2016, and were completely enchanted, yet again. The last 2 stays have been at Pier Cottage, and we love it. Being on one level is perfect for me, as I have difficulty with stairs. The kitchen is large and well-equipped (love the new big refrigerator!), the lounge is large and comfortable with AMAZING views of the loch. Lovely dining room with views of the garden and bird feeder. Laundry room equipped with washer/dryer, and is also a convenient place to hang coats and leave muddy shoes. Large, comfortable bedrooms with large closets equipped with shelves. Huge, modern bathrooms. Tons of storage - in addition to the closets in each of the 3 bedrooms, there are two large hall closets. The improvements to the garden are great! Lovely paths, steps down to the loch, an arbor, benches, even a fire pit! Easy walk to The Dores Inn from the cottage, for great meals, and easy walk to the castle in the other direction. The cottage is clean and very well maintained. Hugh stopped by again to check on us, and he is as friendly and helpful as ever. We didn't want to leave, and we will be back!
The most magical place in the world. The staff are incredible, views are breath-taking and the grounds are one of a kind. It was the most unforgettable weekend of my life.

Aldourie castle. Is one of the best venues anyone could ever wish to go too. You are treated like Royalty, from start to finish. Your every wish is granted and more. The Castle is Fabulous inside and out. Every room is a dream and the scenery is breathtaking. I can't express how lucky our daughter Janice and now son in law Kristen, was to find this OUTSTANDING Castle. Thank you to everyone , for making our daughters wedding day so magical.
Aldourie - what can we say. Our first time to your estate and stayed in the Gate Lodge. Part of me doesn't want to rate this as highly as I want to, solely because I'd like to think it is our home from home and not wanting people to stay in our home but the truth is - everyone needs to come and experience this truly wonderful place. Here for the Christmas week and I cannot think of anywhere more peaceful/tranquil/beautiful and relaxing as this. We've had one of the best holidays ever, so thank you. A massive hats off to the staff - they truly are just totally amazing and nothing is too much. Thank you from me, Daniel, Jane, Claire and Honey and Lola ( the pooches). Happy New Year.
