So today while walking our muck covered mutt in the park I over heard a little girl ask her mum, "What's the menoplause mommy?"
Yes she said menoplause lol - made me smile
... And while standing between the trees like a tulip waiting patiently for our Cavapoo to produce the goods following her dramatic walking squat, I overheard the mums response...
"The MenoPAUSE is a special time in a lady's life where she feels a little unwell and her cloths get tighter..."
Wow...
A succinct description to say the least...
So why do cloths get tighter?
Why do ladies struggle?

‚ÄúYou just need to eat less and move more‚ÄĚ
‚ÄúYou just need to put your body into a calorie deficit‚ÄĚ
... Flippant remarks like ‚ÄúIt‚Äôs not rocket science‚ÄĚ belittle people who are still struggling
These comments also belittle people's intelligence and from a personal level I remember being called ‚ÄúBone Idol‚ÄĚ when I struggled with my own weight.
A perception that because I was overweight then I must be lazy…
But here’s the thing…
ūüö®It‚Äôs not right to label anyone ūüö®It‚Äôs not right to assume why someone is overweight
Illnesses such as Prader Willi Syndrome (the inability to feel satiated), depression, hypothyroidism and Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome are just a few reasons why some people struggle.
Emotional Eating is also a huge concern and one of largest contributors to why so many people are stuck
So if you have been unlucky enough to be on the wrong end of judgement, remember, be patient with those who offer you advice but be selective in who you take it from. And never let ANYONE talk down to you. Stand your ground.
