What an absolutely wonderful space! Delighted to have been at Alexander House as part of the University of Stirling's Centre for Eighteenth-Century Studies writing retreat last week - a great event made all the better by the venue. Thanks again!

Surprised my partner with 2 nights in one of the yurts, was absolutely amazing views were tremendous, the yurt comes with everything you need. Hot tub under the stars was absolutely brilliant, was a bit breezy on the Friday night,i can not fault this place, however some lights on the decking would be a nice extra touch and some sort of retractable perspex wind breaker round the hot tub would just top it off, would definitely go back, have a few friends already trying to book after seeing our pictures! Cannot recommend this glamping enough, very different and quite luxurious, special thanks to jimmy for keeping our wood stocked, will be back again.

Returned from Alexander House today after celebrating my Sister's Hen Weekend there! The house is beautiful and we had an amazing time. Sam, our host for the weekend, was perfect! She couldn't have done any more to help make our weekend enjoyable and is a fabulous representative of AH! We took advantage of the catered Hen Package and were not disappointed. The food and entertainment were superb. Sam had it all organised to perfection and the whole weekend was fun, relaxed and memorable. Would love to return.

Just spent the most relaxing a fun weekend with the best company at Alexander House. Set in stunning scenery, the house is spacious and welcoming, a home from home with plenty of room for everyone to hang out together in the kitchen or find a quiet space to enjoy a book or snooze. Do take the time to walk up the hill behind the house and soak in the inspiring scenery, truly amazing! Highly recommend this to groups wanting an all round time out from the bustle of everyday, noisy and hectic lives.

User

Just back from my Daughter's Hen weekend. we were a party of 21 so the house was full but never felt crowded. We spent the whole time in the kitchen as it is huge, has amazing views, lovely big couches and a huge kitchen table that everyone could sit round. We had an Indian takeaway on the Friday night which was lovely (Delivered to the house). The girls had a lot of fun in the hot tub, again which has amazing views. On Saturday we braved the snow to go for a walk and a few of the girls went sledging (Sledges provided by the house). Saturday night my Daughter had a Great Gatsby theme which fitted in well with the decor of the house. We booked Anne Lovat to cater dinner for us (Link on the house website) The food was fantastic and Anne had laid the table beautifully, she served dinner and cleaned up so we were free to have a nice time chatting and not worrying about having the dishes to do. We spent Saturday night round the log fire which was lovely. I could go on an on about all the plus points and cannot give you any negative points. My Daughter and her friends are talking about a return visit in the Summer. Ps every room was lovely and as we allocated the rooms on a first come basis even the last girls to arrive did not feel that they were left with the room nobody wanted. Beds were so comfortable and the rooms were all lovely and warm. I would also like to mention the lovely lady (Sorry I cannot remember your name) who was at the house to show us around and came to help the caterer on Saturday night. She was fantastic and is a credit to the house.

User

Just back from a fabulous stay at Alexander House and will be recommending it to everyone! We had an absolute ball for my Hen weekend. Lots of space, beautiful rooms and bathrooms - everything you could think of is there! What a beautiful house. Thank you for letting us stay!

Just back after a two night stay in the bramble yurt, absolutely amazing, the views are spectacular and the accommodations is top notch, can't wait to return

Just arrived home after 4 fabulous nights in Heather Yurt and feel like I have left part of me behind! It is impossible to describe the wonderful experience of staying at Alexander House but here goes. A lovely warm welcome from Fiona and Jimmy on our arrival who very helpfully showed us how things worked and explained all the important things we needed to know. It was reassuring to know they were always on hand should we have needed them for anything. Thanks to their clear instructions we didn't need anything except our wood supply replenishing, and Jimmy very kindly not only stocked the wood pile but reset both our stove and hottub for us. Every luxury had been carefully thought out and added, from the faux fur throws to the lovely soft towels, French linen bedding, complimentary slippers and even a bottle of prosecco in the fridge!! Then there is the yurt itself - one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in and a fabulous roll top bath to luxuriate in with lovely natural toiletries supplied! We managed to master the hottub temperature control and following Fiona's helpful advice remembered to light the stove before going in the tub so the yurt was toasty warm on our return from stargazing each evening.

We tried out both the camping stove and the gas BBQ and they were really easy and we loved the outdoor cooking experience.

The neighbours were wonderfully friendly and we loved waking up to their calls each morning. The sound of sheep, calves and pheasants was so refreshing, no traffic or human voices here - the pheasants were definitely the loudest and funniest to watch! The pathways around the yurt were full of tiny toads and we were also lucky enough to spot wild deer while out wandering about - magical!!!

We found great places to eat in Auchterarder and during our five days visited Loch Lomond, Glen Eagles, Pitlochry, Blair Atholl, Stirling, St Andrews, Dundee, Perth and Anstruther - and a few more - Alexander House is so well placed for exploring this very beautiful part of Scotland.

We will definitely be returning many times to this wonderful haven of peace and tranquility. Just proves that it is possible to exist without TV and WiFi!! Thank you for some very magical memories.

I have just had my henny here this weekend and I have to say I have been to many houses for This kind of occasion and it was by far the most professional, luxurious and clean house I've visited. The little touches of shampoo and face towels, extra towels, tea and coffee etc were very much appreciated even outdoor pool was heated and the hot tub continued to stay warm. We always had great warm running water for showers/baths too. You could tell it was a very loved property and we are now looking into trying to do this again! Thank you so much Alexander House you exceeded expectations
