Alfa Shipping Services Ltd was formed in February 2006. With over 30 years’ experience in the shipping business encompassing Ship's Agency, Shipbroking, Cargo Superintendence & Pre-Shipment Inspections.

SHIPPING SERVICES

Although based in Glasgow we provide coverage for all Scottish ports.
We cover all types of Ship's Agency services such as Dry Cargo, Tankers, Cruise Ships, Survey Vessels & Oil Support Vessels. We also act as Protective Agents to owners, safeguarding their interests and incorporating crew changes, stores /provisions, repairs and cash to master - a service we currently provide for major shipping companies.

Ports covered include Ayr, Campbeltown, Finnart, Glasgow, Greenock, Hunterston, Grangemouth, Leith, Rosyth, Dundee, Montrose, Aberdeen & Peterhead.

We also provide the following services: - Dry Cargo Chartering, Freight Forwarding, Stevedoring /Cranage Rates & Haulage Contracts.

INSPECTION SERVICES

Services include: cargo expedition, quality control, weight verification, loading and discharge supervision, sampling, pre-shipment inspection, bunker survey, on-off hire survey, draft survey, radioactivity testing. Goods include wind turbines, oil field equipment, biomass, grain, animal feed, fertiliser, steel products, scrap metal, forestry products, machiner, plant, equipment, vehicles, foodstuffs, and consumer goods.

We act as Scottish representatives for Humber Inspection International Ltd.
and are UK representatives for Admiral Testing Services.

Alfa Shipping Services has a network of surveyors who can provide independent inspection, testing and quality control for a broad range of commodities in many countries throughout the world. We co-ordinate inspections and surveys on behalf of companies operating within the manufacturing, engineering, oil and gas, energy, commodity trading and marine industries.
