Check out our wee bunch of awesome stormtroopers 😍 They had the bridge today as Ali & Bob took a well-earned rest after a manic June and weekend at the Royal Highland Show. They battled through 30 visiting farmers from New Zealand on top of the usual wine tours and fabulous cafe regulars and SURVIVED #yay
They say they are sad because they missed Ali & Bob but it might be because Ali & Bob are back tomorrow and they quite like it when the bosses aren't around 🤣🤣
Or maybe it's... because they fancy a wee sunbathe in all this sunshine we're supposed to be getting tomorrow 🤔🤔 Nae chance if it's as busy as it was today - we need nighttime sunshine or moon tanning to be invented 💪😎

**UPDATE**
Loving all these comments - it's a great debate x We will always be open and honest with our customers - firstly, we don't charge for hot water and we won't be charging for hot water, but we're not going to lie and say that it's not something that we have discussed throughout the course of us managing our margins and costs. We would challenge any cafe owner to say that they have not at least asked the question!! (and if they haven't, then they should!)
We would ne...ver charge for extra hot water with tea and coffee or if you are having a meal or cake etc. and we would NEVER charge for any families needing hot water for bottles/food for wee ones etc. If anyone wants a weaker tea, please do just ask us to leave the bag or leaves out.
There are a few occasions when folks literally just order a pot of hot water and nothing else, for whatever reason - that's their personal choice and nobody's business but theirs and the number of times that happens - quite frankly - are so few and far between it's not worth counting.
The general stance we take is that we want our cafe to feel like home and you wouldn't charge your mate for boiling the kettle to make them a cup of tea. Yes, there's the argument of business costs - but unless there is an overnight surge and it becomes the new trend, we'll just carry on as we are 👍
