Alice Theatre Project

About Alice Theatre Project

ALICE Theatre Project is a Community Interest Company based in the Shetland Isles. We specialise in creative theatre workshops, classes and projects which support people to find, harness and develop their creative imagination. All work we undertake is driven by our core values, we celebrate DIVERSITY, embrace CURIOSITY, nurture BRAVERY and cultivate JOY. The ALICE Theatre Project is led by Artistic Director, Stephenie Pagulayan. Stephenie comes to the project with a wealth of experience in community work in the public and third sector in Shetland both supporting individuals and co-ordinating projects. Stephenie is currently studying an MA in Art and Social Practice at the University of the Highlands and Islands. "I have been involved in community theatre in Shetland for over 20 years and have experienced first hand the benefits theatre can bring. Theatre is not just about the finished article, it is about the journey to get there whether that be the devising process, delving into characters or creative collaboration with fellow actors and artists. For me, that is where the real magic happens. As a theatre practitioner my goal is to enable others to find their own creative potential. ALICE Theatre classes and workshops are the perfect place to explore and learn in a safe, supported environment. Every workshop is a new adventure! "
