It was great to catch up with the CS MEN team today and see them all looking fantastic in their new workwear tops!! CS MEN (otherwise known as Clinical Skills Managed Education Network) have carried out amazing work developing online educational resources, manage and deploy a Mobile Skills Unit (MSU) which provides state of the art simulation facilities for remote and rural healthcare practitioners and has also built national network of healthcare educators and practitioners....
Recently NHS Education for Scotland (NES) had been recognised for its work to improve clinical skills by being awarded the prestigious international ‘ASPIRE’ award for simulation training from the Association for Medical Education in Europe. The 2018 Award for Excellence in Simulation was granted for the "exemplary simulation” training being carried out by the Clinical Skills Managed Educational Network (CS MEN). Over the last 10 years, CS MEN has used its mobile simulation unit, online blended learning support systems and telemedicine to train over 9,000 practitioners, often in remote and rural areas, who otherwise would not have access to high quality simulation education.
