Hugely overpriced food. Service slow (over an hour from ordering to receive main course).

Amazing gin selection! Friendly staff, great place for a drink!

Superb as usual. We were early enough for the pre theatre menu tonight. We all had a fabulous meal. The best steak we've all had in a long time.

Ice been a few times for drinks to alstons and I've thoroughly enjoyed them and the atmosphere.
This is the first time I have eaten at alstons and I was disappointed with the food quality, however the service was good.

One of the best bars in Glasgow. Friendly staff great service, quality drinks and food.

Despite all twelve of us pre-ordering our meals, we didn't eat until over 90 minutes after arriving for our reservation.

By their own admission, there had been a massive breakdown in communication. These things happen, it was a very busy Friday night. The managing staff handled the situation well, which includes a sizeable discount.

While seated the service was good, and the saving grace was that when the food did eventually arrive it was absolutely fantastic. I had the bone in ribeye and it was incredible.

I would give them a second chance for sure.

Hidden away next to it's sister coffee shop Gordon's you head down the stairs into a sleekly refurbed vault under the station. The tasteful decor focuses in on the centrally located bar filled with a wide range of gins. This visit we tried the Sunday roast menu, starting with a well portioned wild mushroom soup served with dainty brioche buns. We opted for the beef strip loin for main, alongside the beautifully cooked beef (caramelised underneath with the kindness showing on top) a honey glazed carrot, creamy mash, fondant potato & a perfect specimen of Yorkshire pudding. Desert brought us a pistachio brownie topped with creamy ice cream and a side of indulgent chocolate sauce with a balancing saltiness. Service was friendly and attentive, ordered all courses together and had a very short wait between them. Toilets were clean and inviting. Three course meal with a drink just over £50 for two. Sunday roast, set menu & Tuesday steak or mussels frites decent price for the quality with a la carte and the steak menu being a bit more expensive.

The experience was nice and really awesome. I enjoyed my drinks and the food they served. Deserve a second visit!

Favourite Glasgow restaurant. Great steak, service and the gin selection is superb too!

A great meal every time.

Really well made steaks with nice accompaniments.

Not too expensive either.

Helpful and friendly staff.

Recently visited this bar -- good selection of gin. Service really awful. Bar staff unfriendly unhappy and unhelpful. Considering the prices they should be a bit more pleasant and curtious. Tip to the manager - Service with a smile always helps.
Plenty of good gin bars in Glasgow and would recommend you try these before Alstons bar.

Nice place. We had our Christmas dinner here. They paid attention to me specifically as I'm gluten intolerant, and made my menu without any gluten containing ingredient. Totally satisfied!
