The only authentic Pakistani restaurant we could find , Freshly cooked Chicken Karahi was just amazingly nice and Biryani was nice too . Must try Falooda as a dessert. We were really pleased to find this restaurant and wish we had found this on the first day we arrived in Glasgow.

After reading some negative reviews, I was hesitant to try ambala today. Then I decided to go for it and me and my family absolutely loved it. Wife got a masala fish which she loved. I got a mix kebab. All types off kebas were fresh and full of flavour. Then we got rasmalai which was the best we have ever tasted. The girl serving us was great. She was friendly and very attentive. Will definitely be back and highly recommend to others.

Been meaning to visiting this place since I moved here from England.

The staff were very helpful and nice.

I ordered a Chicken Dopiaza, the guy who took my order ask if I wanted it hot, medium or mild. I said totally mild please. However, it was as hot as a Vindaloo! hate to think what their hot actually is if thats a mild curry lol.

The curry was quite nice with good quality chicken that had not been frozen. Lots of sauce with the curry which was nice as whats the point of a dry curry!?

The boiled rice was nice and not mushy and nan was nice too.

Only thing is every now and again I got a taste of ginger which is never nice (in my opinion) but Punjabi's and Nepalese will add Ginger after the sauce has gone in giving a raw G&G flavour to the finished dish unlike the Bengali's who will fry the ginger at the beginning which mean's you can not taste the G & G in the final dish. I've discovered in Glasgow all the currys are Punjabi or Nepalese influenced and no Bengali's thats the way it is here. Hopefully a Bengali will open up a restaurant here at some point.

I also got a side of red cabbage but the red cabbage was not pickled and raw, the way you pickle the red (and white) cabbage is add salt to it, then run under water, then completely submerge in 50% water and 50% white vinegar over night and then drain off the water/vinegar. Done!

The chilli sauce was basically spicy ketchup not chilli sauce, chilli sauce should never have ketchup, mango chutney or yogurt or sugar in it. In fact heres a good chilli sauce recipe used by some kebab shops in England:

42nd Street Spicy Pizza Topping sauce (blended with herbs and spices) 2.95kg or anyother brand of pizza sauce but must be spicy with herbs and spices not plain pizza sauce.

3 white onions

half a killo white cabbage

200 grams jar jalepenos

tea spoon white vinegar

1 ounce chilli powder

Hopefully the owner can add at least a couple of my feedback suggestions.

Went last night heard good reviews , thought we go n get a bite to eat , nice place well laid out fresh and clean looks realy tidy , ordered a large mixed grill which was nice but not worth the £24.99 we paid, as it had 2pc of chops, 1 small peri peri chicken breast, 1 seek, 1 kobedi, 1 skewer of chicken tikka and 2 pieces of chicken wing 1 nan no lamb tikka at all which was strange for a mixed grill , talking into account we ordered on the basis that it should be suffice for 3 people . We also had a lamb Karachi which was tasty well cooked a descent portion . The staff weren't much to go by . I thought the chap no disrespect had jumped out of bed had he's joggy bottoms on t-shirt with a tea cosy hat .the food I must say overall was good no doubt the portion in the grill was a major let down for 25 bucks u expect more . I would buy all the starters individually as a pose to a mixed grill. The place is defo worth a visit , I would say that staff would be better of being uniformed as it's a professional image for the establishment. No point spending so much on the set up and then cutting corners these small elements in my opinion are important these are the people that are serving the customers . No one appreciates being served food from a scruffy waiter. But honestly aside from all that the food is good would defo recommend a visit.

Service was absolutely shit and food wasnt great either. Would defiantly not go back
