Welcome to Amberskye Annexe, based at the crossroads of the North of Scotland in Lairg.
We offer a fully equipped, one bedroom, self-catering annexe for holiday lets.
Amberskye Annexe Description
Welcome to Amberskye Annexe, named so because on certain days, during sunrise and sunset, you can expect to see these shades of amber, pink and purple on the horizon.
The Annexe is situated on a hillside just under 2 miles east of Lairg, where you have local shops, eateries and a petrol station at your disposal.
The Annexe itself comprises of:
*One Bedroom with Double Bed and Wardrobe
*One Bathroom with Shower-over-Bath (don't let this fool you, it is very hot and powerful! )
*Kitchen /Diner and Lounge area with Woodburning Stove, Dining Table, Sofa and TV.
*Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the annexe, however, it should be noted that mobile coverage is very unlikely indoors
*An Amazon Firestick as TV reception is poor**
*DVD player and small selection of DVDs
*All essentials (towels, loo roll, tea facilities, bedding, blankets sponges, washing up liquid, plates, cutlery) included
*Electric Oven & Hob, Fridge, Sink, Kettle & Toaster
*Outdoor Deck with Seating and Firepit
** If you plan to use any additional films not already free on Prime, please let us know as these will need to be paid for.

At certain times of the year (mainly Nov-April), this spectacle is occasionally upstaged by the infinitely more mesmerising Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) illuminating the night sky during Winter.
Even on Summer nights, the valley is quiet and the stars are plentiful and piercing.
Definitely worth sitting outside on your personal deck and keeping cosy in front of your own firepit!
Amberskye is surrounded by croftland, so sheep are often found in the fields behind and spring time is a wonderful season to view newborn lambs here, which can be magical.
From the north side of Amberskye, the valley of Lairg spans out before you, encompassing the view of the Loch and stunning mountain views towards the West and North West Coasts.
A short drive from Lairg itself will put you on the NC500 route (North Coast 500 scenic drive).

As the best of the Scottish summer comes to a close, we here at Amberskye Annexe extend our warmest invitation to encourage customers new and loyal to come and see our gem of northern Scotland; a new season is ushered in by nature. Witness the waterfalls flowing with might and the leaves displaying an array of beautiful reds, yellows and oranges. The crisp, clear nights will bring the stars closer and brighter, with shooting stars being a nightly occurrence. With a little luck and magic, the great light of the north will shine bright as the northern lights may make an appearance.
Another perfect example tonight of why we named the house Amberskye! Love evenings like this :)
