Spot the fault......😕

Vivaro 2.0 injector issues. Diagnostics points toward injector 2 issue but always best to do a thorough check of the fuel system. A resistance test was also done and injector 2 had indeed failed. These injectors are notorious for seizing or snapping in the head. We just got it out though and then an injector seat cutting tool was required to clean up before fitting the new injector.

Golf in with the ABS, ESP and steering wheel lights on the dash and the steering was also heavy.
After a diagnostic check it only showed a steering angle sensor fault. We were pretty confident that there was a fault within the braking system so we carried out some live data tests and got erratic readings from the osr. This was going to be down to either the wheel bearing or the sensor itself, the next step was to strip it all down and visually inspect the parts.
With the ab...s fault now sorted, the lights extinguished themselves and left only the steering angle sensor fault. Once the steering was calibrated the power steering came back to life and the light extinguished too 😁
Now the customer wanted us to MOT the car which needed a couple bushes, tyre, coil spring, wiper blades and the handbrake adjusted. MOT’d for another year 😁

Corsa C - Lowering springs and LED headlights to be installed. Once we removed the original shocks we had to inform the customer that the shocks were past their best and recommended replacing them along with strut tops.

Meriva - Car was bouncing all over the road, a quick look in the wheel arch and we could see both front shocks were badly leaking. 2 new shocks and strut top mounts had it holding steady on the road again 😁💪🏻 🔧

Went to Arnold Clarke and git a quote for what we "needed" to get done to our car for it to pass. Phoned Andy, and he quoted me a third of what they had tried to charge.



Got the car booked in and done within a week. That was about three years ago and we wouldn't go anywhere else!

I've had some work done by Andy Outhwaite and there's one thing,,,, I can't complain at all. What a great job he did on my car ,he went beyond his time and effort to accommodate me on getting my car done. He let's you know roughly how much the work will be and what you'll need before hand, and if he can get things at a lower price for you he will. The 1hr slot he gives you is more like 1.5 hrs. Such a nice person to speak to and get work done by. If you need anything done I'd advise you to speak to Andy Outhwaite before you do anything else. I for one will certainly be using Andys services again.....

Great Service from Andy at AMS Vauxhall, 5*. My Astra needed a service as not been done since I got it and glad I took it here. The car was checked over and advised with the best course of action. The service included as the main serviceable items including a new battery in the key remote which I am sure some garages would miss. Service booked stamped and lots of useful honest advice given. Car running great and will return in October when it requires its yearly MOT. Thanks again. Would recommend highly 5*
