For many people the practices of Yoga can appear unobtainable . So often people say they cannot "do" Yoga as they are too stiff, too busy, too ill or not able to sit cross legged and be still.
The assumption Yoga is for fit people or chilled people could not be further from the truth!
At Anahata Yoga Centre Leigh-on-Sea we pride ourselves on making our Yoga practices inclusive and for all. No matter how stiff you are, what body shape or the condition(s) you arrive with you wi...ll be welcomed and made to feel part of the community.
Yoga can help reduce stiffness, build physical strength and balance. It can also help reduce stress and make conditions like Anxiety and Depression feel more manageable.
Our beginners course gives you an opportunity learn basics postures and their varying modification, simple breath techniques to help with stress and calming ourselves, nurturing relaxations for rest and self care and uplifting meditations to tap into our inner knowledge. Plus some history and philosophy thrown into the mix.

This month our Well Woman session invites you to uncover your sense of creativity. We will connect with the lower back and pelvic chamber to cultivate flowing physical movements, like the waxing and waning of the moon, the ebb and flow of the tide we will practice a beautiful yoga sequence to flow between yin and yang, learning to release stuck physical and emotional energy to live with creative optimism.
