Lovely hotel,great view from the room we were in,beds comfy and very clean,shower nice and hot but pressure not very good ,complimentary tea and coffee and lovely shortbread in the room ,overall superb we will go back 👍😀
Excellent meal, friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant looks very fresh and modern. Toilets v clean. A pleasant experience. Only used restaurant so did not see rooms!
Good helpful staff could have been cleaner that forgot every thing above eye level food was of a good standard
Surprisingly nice place to stay that exceeds expectations based on the exterior. Interiors are nice and the location is great, directly opposite the water and close to town centre. Can be a little noisy on a weekend with the locals enjoying their pints and a bit of karaoke, but not too bad considering the location.
The hotel is for sure not the most modern I've slept in and could use some touching up on the outside. But in relation to the other places in Tarbert it is really OK. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, the staff helpful and friendly. The showers could be a bit bigger for tall or big people, but the were fine.
The breakfast is standard for Scotland. Positive to mention the Full Scottish and the scrambled eggs with salmon. One day the wait was a bit long.
One night we had dinner in the embedded Sea Bed restaurant. If I had to rate that by itself it would probably be a 2 star rating. The burger was cold with nothing on it. The chips tasted moldy. Cullen Skink was more like a potato soup than anything else.
But overall I really liked the hotel. If you have a chance get a room with a view to the port - that's really lovely and unique.

Went to the anchor hotel for dinner and drinks with a couple who were staying at the hotel the night before a wedding. The food was excellent and wasn't too long in coming. Prices are a little steep however, with a fairly expansive gin selection this is to be expected. Overall, excellent food and a number of different drinks to choose from.
Nice little hotel. Staff was amazing. Made us bag lunches since we had to leave early before the free breakfast
Fantastic boutique hotel with incredibly friendly team, comfortable modern rooms with great views over the harbour. The hotel has a lovely cosy bar with a great selection of Scottish Gins and a great menu.
Breakfast was delicious with a good selection of continental and cooked breakfast options. Highly recommended.
