"I only visit Edinburgh occasionally but every time I do I always pop in here for a quiet pint or even just a coffee if I'm not drinking on a particular visit.
The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere very relaxed. I personally think it is up-market without being pretentious. It is great to sit in with a drink and relax. Another plus is that it is a great location, not far from the railway station."

Wonderful as ever! Friendly and attentive staff, friendly clientele, marvellous cocktails! One of the most consistent establishments in Edinburgh for a top notch experience, and believe me I've been in a few! 😉

We were thrilled to come across this bar whilst visiting Edinburgh for my friends 30th birthday! The ambience was lovely and the staff were friendly and attentive with attention to detail. The drinks selection in the bar was extensive with lots of different whiskies, cocktails and wines all at affordable prices. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would certainly return if ever in Edinburgh again!

We always have at least one meal at Angels Share when we're in Edinburgh. The food and drink never disappoint, and the staff are fun and functional.

Visited on Saturday for lunch with 7 Friends. Lovely restaurant,delicious food and terrific service from a very pleasant, attentive waitress. We all enjoyed the experience and look forward to a return visit. Our waitress caught up with us 5 minutes after we left to return the spectacles which one of our party had left. Service with a smile 😊

Stopped here after a walk in Water of Leith. Nice ambience, efficient, friendly staff. Sat outside in the sunshine watching the world go by. Just great!

Lovely meal, very pleasant staff. This was an ideal place for a catch-up as we all had to travel and it was a central point for us all to meet.

Just returned from a 2 night stay for my husband's birthday and loved every minute of our stay, unfortunately our first rooms bathroom was freezing so after telling the girl on reception we were swiftly offered an other room and given free prosecco for the inconvenience, would we return again? Most definitely, staff were amazing and very friendly

I visited the restaurant with my boyfriend on Saturday and had the best time! I had the booked the table for food and was then lucky enough to win their fourth day of Christmas which consisted of four cocktails and mince pies. I chose to have a Rhubarb and Custard, That's Minted, Mocha Martini and a Tunnock'a Teacake - they all tasted amazing! When we arrived, we were informed that our table had others sitting on it. This table was very low and only meant for drinks so I let them know that we had booked for food as well and the waitress quickly found us a table. We didn't have to wait long and she dealt with the error brilliantly! The restaurant was fully booked so it could have easily ended worse. Our waiter for the evening was Ryan, and his service was of the highest standard! Very friendly and attentive. We were told when we arrived that we would have to wait a while for food due to the business of the restaurant, but I can't say I noticed waiting very long. I had turkey and my boyfriend had a burger - both very tasty. We stayed for drinks after because of the great atmosphere and even invited my friend and her family to join us, who were also staying in Edinburgh that weekend.



I will definitely be back next time I'm staying in Edinburgh and can't recommend the restaurant enough!

Had the most amazing stay at this week for my partners suprise 30th, and could not recommend the Angels Share enough!!



Staff were fantastic and so helpful. Incredible location and facilities. We had the Gerrard Butler room which the team had kindly decorated for his birthday (thank you Molly for your help organising)

Had a wonderful evening last night. After watching The Variety Show at The Kings Theatre we were looking for somewhere to go for a few drinks, we found Angels Share and were so glad we did. Staff were welcoming, there was a great atmosphere but most of all we loved the live music provided by Noah Noah,they were amazing. We will definitely be back.

Excellent accommodation in centre of Edinburgh

The rooms are named after a well known Scottish person in the arts be it actor/musician/artist.I was in the Kelly Macdonald Suite.

Had a bit of a hangover so in times like this the only option is to go for the full blown cholesterol special scottish breakfast

Bar staff could not have been more helpful today. The cocktails were amazing and they made us what we wanted. I’ll be returning. Macaroon bar cocktail .... to die for.

Amazing. I had my 40th in The Devil’s Cut below the Angel’s Share. The venue is fabulous and the staff were fantastic. So so helpful. We also stayed the night and were delighted. Could not recommend this place highly enough!

2 courses for £12 market menu. I had the mackerel salad to start and the sea bream with chorizo and barley risotto main. Both were lovely. The setting, food and service exceeds the £12 (£13.75 including drink) price tag. Look forward to coming back!

Very pretty, beautiful lighting, impressive bar. Couldn’t get a seat but didn’t expect to on a Friday night with no booking. Pretty quick service despite it being busy. Definitely be back - and will reserve a table this time!

It is nice inside. Our waiter was pleasant and the food was good. I had a salad but it could have been a bit better prepared on the plate. The cocktail was OK. It came in a small size glass. I have had better elsewhere. Not sure if I will rush back any time soon. But I nonetheless enjoyed it.

I asked for a porn star martini and got served a drink that tasted nothing like it. Also served in a tiny glass !!! £9!!!! Two sips and it was gone actually tasted terrible ! Maybe some training in cocktails would be a good idea !
