Angus Bike Chain

Brilliant shop, have used these guys for the past 8 years at least, never had any bother, great customer service and always happy too help. I have had bikes repaired here and bought too. Cannot fault them, great local shop.

I have always used Angus Bike Chain for purchasing, servicing and repairing of all my bikes this is purely for the fact that they operate to the highest of standards, excellent customer service - no job to big or small, very friendly and personable, I found both members of staff to be very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend this business for your cycling needs. Great Job Guys.

Cracking service. Just moved back to the area and gave them a try. Put the bike in for a service and gear cable change. Bike came out running like a dream after its service and crank bearing change and at an excellent price. Putting the other bike in today . Highly recommend them

This is sad to say and I hate to give 1 star but this is the 2nd time I've been let down and this time massively by this shop and team.
First time I needed a generic BB spindle and they contacted me 17days later to say they got one back in. I got one the same day elsewhere.
This time around I had a mountain bike that needed a minor post crash repair. - Minor damage.
3 weeks it took, to ABC's credit the rang me a week after to say parts were delayed, we'll be in touch Monday. A week later and after failing to get in touch I rang up to check the status. The Staff member couldn't find my details, name or bike. Long story short I knew my bike was in their store somewhere.
It was ready. For how long? I do not know, but I was without my bike far longer than I've ever been. Annoying as I could have easily repaired it elsewhere or myself ( and to a better degree in this case ).

The components replaced were below the standard of the gear I had on. (DEORE XT) . Shifters replaced with standard DEORE and rear SLX derailleur when the old XT derailleur was near new and just needed the Tension screw replaced. So with that I lost the ability to shift up and down 2+.

Having worked as a bike technician in the past, I'm not being picky here. Service has just been poor, sadly.

Little effort was made to conserve old parts. And there was nothing asked to the customer about putting downgraded parts on.
Replace stuff like for like, unless otherwise advised or requested.
To add insult to injury I had walked out the shop before realising my 'old' parts that were replaced had not been given back to me nor given a mention. They had kept them.
So be sure to ask for them back. I just repaired the derailleur myself in 5mins , and am now left with selling pointlessly new downgraded kit, to recoup a hefty repair bill.

So support these guys as much as you can, I love local. But I can't endorse them personally any more.

Great service & friendly staff. Another bike shop on a different occasion told me three days to get a spoke changed, the chap at Angus Bike Chain said gimme 30 mins. That's more like it!

I have just visited this shop as a new bike rider.(after 50years+ since I've been on a bike!!!!)
Am now the proud owner of a new bike!! The guy in this shop was brilliant, no hard sell, just good advice!
Highly recommend this shop and its staff. Bike to be delivered tomorrow- can't wait!

Fantastic bike shop.
Better going here than buying online as the guys really know their stuff.
Went in to buy an expensive rear wheel and came out with a cheap one! No hard sell of expensive kit which is appreciated.
