Have taken care of our dogs for years now.

We take our cat Ninja to the Southside branch. So far she's had two checkups, where the vets were lovely, very kind and professional, but she was still so terrified they couldn't examine her fully. She was a shelter kitty who had a hard start in life (originally found in a skip), which we think is why she has such trouble coping with vet trips. Animac are being great at working with us to get her over her vet phobia. We have popped in with her three times so far to get her used to the place, and the receptionists have been friendly and helpful, coming over to give her treats and headrubs. She's gaining confidence and I think will make a lot of progress with further trips. It's giving us great peace of mind to know that if she does need medical treatment, she is a lot less likely to get distressed and need sedation. Animac aren't charging us a penny for this help and it's so kind of them to do this, because it's things like this which make all the difference. They also sell the best cat kibble ever, according to Ninja!

5* Vet!

Great to have a vet practise local to me and my then (initially) anxious indoor cat. The practise itself has a calm environment and is very clean & welcoming inside.

It was very important for me (as a pet service provider my self) to find a vet that was not only close by (south-side of the city), but essentially to seek a practise that was knowledgeable, caring and compassionate about animals.

My cat returns on a regular basis, he is now a more comfortable and relaxed kitty when visiting. Thanks to the kind and helpful team at Animac!

Took my kitten here the very first day I got him. Great service getting a check up, signed up for his jabs and a regular payment scheme for routine checks. Since then he has had his jabs, been in for a sprain, and been neutered. And he still purrs when he goes in!
Great to have this wee surgery in walking distance on this side of Edinburgh, very professional staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Feel very confident in having the kitten treated here and I don't think the charges are unreasonable either - the scheme they run gives discounts on treatments and he gets regular check ups. They have answered questions on the phone happily, and I would definitely recommend them.

Really good to have a local vet of such quality in the Southside. Staff: nurses, receptionists and vets are all kind, informative and take a genuine interest in your pet. I have an elderly cat and they always pay attention to his age, as well as the specific issue/health condition you've taken him in for. They have a selection of food/toys/leads/brushes/leashes in stock and can order any thing for you, that they don't. I ordered stuff for my cat and it was in either the next day, or the day after. Really pleased they have a presence on Nicholson St.
