Animal Antics Description
Animal Antics is an Edinburgh based company offering a variety of Pet Services to accommodate both you and your furry friends.
If you need someone to walk your dog then we can offer a range of routes dependant on your location and are happy to discuss alternative places if there is somewhere your dog prefers. Please note that all dog walking takes place on an individual basis, unless there are more than one per household and then we are happy to walk them together. Unlike many other companies we do not charge extra for evenings, weekends or bank holidays. As pet owners we understand that these days and times are the same as any other!
Pet Sitting is also available, whether is it the occasional visit, several visits in a day or an overnight stay then we can be there for your loved ones. Pet visits are charged per visit rather than per pet so if you have more than one animal and are worried about the cost then fret no more as animal antics will only charge you for the visit and still ensure your pets get undivided attention when we are with them.
All potential clients can meet completely free of charge to discuss their individual requirements either at your own house or at ours if easier (as long as you don't mind 6 nosey cats, a very friendly German Shepherd and a bouncy Pomeranian).

Was recommended Animal Antics to look after our 2 cats and rabbit for the weekend with both me and my wife (with dogs) being away same weekend. It was a mad build up trying to organise myself but Ffion was really patient, understanding (especially with our cats very different personalities!) And was definitely a reassuring presence on our meeting when I was rather scrambled. On return everyone was perfectly fine and happy and I can only thank and highly recommend Ffion for taking a definite weight of my mind in a mad busy time.

I've used Animal Antics for several years now and would highly recommend Ffion and her team. Whether I am away for 2 days or 2 weeks, I know that my two cats will be well looked after and loved while I'm away and that I'll come home to very happy and contented kitties. If you are unsure about using a pet sitter (as I was) then don't be - Ffion is extremely reliable, has such a magic touch with animals and clearly loves working with them - I know my cats (and houseplants!) are in excellent hands.
I recently went on a tour of Italy and it was fabulous! There was just one drawback: my 13 year old cat, Bobo, fell ill about a week into my trip. I felt awful. I made the mistake of googling her symptoms and convinced myself that she was terminally ill and wouldn’t survive until my return. I felt guilty about enjoying my holiday when she was clearly suffering at home, and I hated not being able to do anything. Luckily, I had chosen to leave her (and my other cat) under the expert care and supervision of Animal Antics. Ffi at Animal Antics contacted me immediately to find out what I wanted her to do with Bobo. On my instruction, she arranged a vet appointment for that day and kept me regularly updated on Bobo’s progress. A few days later, when Bobo’s symptoms continued, Ffi arranged a follow-up appointment with the vet.
I honestly don’t think I could have relaxed and allowed myself to enjoy my holiday without Ffi’s reassuring updates and incredibly kind offer to sleep at my flat in order to monitor Bobo’s health (and to keep her company). I don’t think it could have been easy for Ffi to arrange, with her incredibly busy schedule, and I am eternally grateful to her for going that extra mile. In the end, she spent three nights with Bobo and even brought her leftovers from a delicious meal, since Bobo didn’t have much of an appetite. It made a huge difference to know that Bobo was in such good hands.
I’ve always been delighted with the service offered by Ffi and her team. I often have to travel at short notice and have relied on Ffi’s flexibility on more than one occasion. Ffi is also an incredible animal photographer! I have friends who follow her Facebook page just to see her photos. It’s a lovely surprise when I am travelling and a photo of my cats suddenly pops up on my Facebook newsfeed. It’s also reassuring to know that my pets are with someone who genuinely loves and cares about animals.
Until that recent trip, I hadn’t thought much about my petcare arrangements and probably took quite a lot for granted. This experience has taught me how crucial it is to leave your pets with someone you can trust. I will never again consider leaving my cats with a “non-professional”. It just isn’t worth the worry. Ffi, I can’t thank you enough for the care you took of Bobo and for the ongoing reassurance you gave me. I will continue to recommend your services to anyone with a pet.
I have such confidence in my Gizmo's health, well-being and safety when she is being looked after by Ffi. I would recommend Animal Antics to anyone. The price is excellent and Ffi will go above and beyond. She is also trusted by the animals she looks after and I think that speaks volumes.
