I have had a facination of all animals, most notably horses since a very young age. My mother says I used to "canter" to the clip-clop of passing horses whilst in my pram! I first sat on a horse at 3, started riding at 5 and was lucky enough to get my 1st horse at the age of 13, where I realised my love of Welsh ponies and cobs. I enjoyed my art & craft & design at school, and when I left I intended to make a career of it. I attended life drawing classes and did a summer school at Edinburgh art college where I realised my love of Sculpture and all things crafty. I was accepted to Telford college so I could build up my portfolio to help me gain access to Art College and it was at this point where I realised I prefered it as a hobby, rather than a job.
After moving from Edinburgh to rural South Lanarkshire & inspired by the farm animals and countryside, I decided to take up my art again and mainly focussed on doing commissioned portraits of peoples animals.
