Staff were great and the drinks were reasonably priced but the bar feels like it would have been cool 15 years ago. Although it was relatively early the place was dead too.
I've been meaning to post this for a couple of weeks so apologies for the delay but we booked the smaller room of the 2 function rooms for a retirement do on March 17th and we can't fault the place. The staff were just lovely and the staff member on that night (I think it was john(?) Worked so hard to provide a great service and he was just so helpful, friendly and a gent. Couldn't have been more accommodating or helpful. The room we had us a great size and you actually get 2 private areas for 1 as you get the room with a private bar with nice comfy chairs in addition to the function room itself. As I say, couldn't have been better and it's a perfect size for a private gathering. We had around 40 people there and it was perfect. Full marks all round! It's the 2nd time we have used this space and it's a bit of a hidden gem. Yay!

Unfortunately this place is a nightmare DO NOT BOOK. I attended a wedding after party here and there was nothing but problems!!! fire alarm kept going off...djs equipment broke down... understaffed... the brides room filthy... thick with dust... the candy floss machine didn't work properly... the toilets were out of toilet roll!!!! there was NO one of manning the reception to even report these problems to!!! the drinks are over priced... if you go downstairs you can get alcohol cheaper but are not aloud to take it to the function room... the brides dress was ruined at the bottom due to un mopped floors .... the entertainment was enjoyable but that was it!!! we were all heartbroken for the bride her big day... no one should spend their wedding close to tears ... shameful!!!!!
The venue was good, could have a better drink selection though.
