ūüďł New picture - An Teallach Sunrise ūüďł
The newest addition to our collection ‚ÄėAn Teallach Sunrise‚Äô was taken at the beginning of June. There were a few weeks of really hot weather and cloudless skies. On this particular weekend I noticed the unusual weather forecasts ‚Äď full cloud cover for the villages and a very clear mountain forecast and I was puzzled how it could be so vastly different. I thought there could be a chance of a cloud inversion and as An Teallach was a mountai...n I wanted to climb as it's renowned for its beauty, I decided to plan a trip.
Climbing up through the clouds in the afternoon, I was aware of the clouds forming around me and I was worried that the forecast had been incorrect, but eventually, two thirds of the way to the summit, I climbed out of the clouds into glorious sunshine. As I reached the summit I had an incredible 360¬į view of the cloud inversion, I‚Äôve never seen anything like it!
I quickly made camp and set up my camera to capture the sunset. It was such a beautiful still evening and the mountains were lit up with the golden light. As I’d also brought a small drone with me I was able to fly that over the peaks and film the sunset from angles that I couldn’t see from my vantage point.
When I woke early in the morning the view was even more spectacular as the cloud had risen up and filled the coire below me. In this picture the sun is rising behind me casting the shadow of Bidein a’ Ghlas Thuill, where I camped, on to Sgurr Fiona and Corrag Bhuidhe. The half moon visible in the perfect sky was an unexpected and beautiful feature. I was so fortunate to experience this amazing weather feature and am delighted that I can share it with you.

Wonderful friendly gallery, dropped in yesterday for some local inspiration and certainly got that from the images and a warm welcome and free coffee as advertised from the lovely Finnish gallery assistant - sorry dint get you name. A little out of town but worth visiting.

Well worth a visit ...even just to talk to the photographer. Someone with a passion for his craft and a good knowledge of the local area. Filter coffee too as you browse and get the background stories behind the photos. I bought a lovely canvas of the Biallach in winter taken with the help of a drone.

I had a weeks holiday in Applecross many years ago and the surrounding scenery is absolutely stunning. Scotland is gorgeous but that coastline is heaven. Would advise anyone interested in nature's beauty to go there. Even on a bucket list. It's beauty will stay with you forever!

I had a superb week on Jack's landscape photography workshop in Applecross and Torridon and it's taken my photography to a whole new level. I've learnt loads about both the artistic and technical aspects of photography. Jack's enthusiasm for photography, and the landscape in which he lives and works is infectious. It made the whole process from surveying the landscape, shot composition, handling the camera, through to editing and printing, hugely enjoyable. The course is well planned, and the accommodation is good too; all together, it's a really good package. I met some great people, had a lot of laughs, and am really proud of the print I've brought home with me from the workshop.

Great photos and lovely people. Well worth dropping in for a look at the photos, a chat and a purchase or two.
