Lovely find. Thought the willow and fairy trail was brilliant and free. My little 6 year old loved making her wish on the wishing tree and leaving fairy dust at every fairy house. This was just a £1. Very well organised. Sadly didn't get chance to do the walled garden BUT did however get chance to have a coffee and a piece of cake from the coffee shop. Both excellent. Very clean, lots of tables and a great play park where the children could play outside and you could watch from inside. Accesse was from the inside of the coffee shop so I felt confident Maisie was safe and we could relax and enjoy our coffee. I also loved the shop. Will definitely be calling again x

A café, bar and deli offered here. Very spacious and child friendly. Lunches looked good as we only had coffee. Service a little haphazard but friendly. They hold music events and dances here too.

Nice setting, building and facilities but the service was absolutely awful - not for the first time. We weren't given menus on arrival, then someone came to take our order before we had the menus, Orders weren't correctly taken correctly and the food arrived 10 minutes before the drinks. I had to ask staff twice for the bottle of sparkling water we had ordered only to be told "sorry, it comes from the bar".

We were there to meet friends who had dropped their children off for a (3hr?!) Birthday party and there appeared to be no control from the staff taking the party and children were able to come and go as they pleased, which I would not have been happy with if I were one of the parents as there seemed to be no regard for their safety. There was no dedicated space for the party and it appeared to be in the bar area...

I have had a couple of good experiences here in the past but they are far outweighed by the negative ones. Given the prices charged here, the service needs to improve drastically before I will consider returning for food.

On a positive note, the facilities for kids are brilliant and my daughter loves the fairy trail so is always a winner. There's plenty space for kids to run about and tire themselves out and the surrounding fields are great for spotting deer!

As great day out for 4 and 6 year olds. They loved the fairy trail and the play park. The adults liked the food and beer.

The grounds are absolutely amazing, and I enjoyed the Fairy Trail with the god children. A magical place for kids to enjoy (but take plenty of 1 and 2 pences to pay the fairy tolls :).

Garden and grounds well kept with really happy dedicated staff. For the grounds it is a definite 5 stars. However, the cafe experience could have been a little better. There are not many picnic table seats outside in the barn and courtyard. There used to be lots of picnic tables, but these have mostly disappeared. Our food and drink was fab.

We've visited a few times over the years holidaying in the area and there is plenty to do here. The food is usually good although the bread for my bacon sandwich was a bit on the dry side this time, the service isn't really anywhere near the levels I would expect at the price point (in the cafe) which is pretty exorbitant. You can charge what you like, that is your prerogative, the kids love playing here and we'll probably come again, but I expect to be greeted by a smile (preferably genuine) at the very least. The ladies on the shop and deli were lovely and more than happy to go out of their way, which is the way it should be if you are wanting to persuade people to part with their cash.

In short Archerfield should be a five star experience and nothing less should be expected when you charge a premium for the privilege.

Excellent place to go with kids for a walk. Explore the grounds, look for the fairy doors in the trees then head to the restaurant/bar for a coffee or something stronger! Food looks fab, nice open kitchen so you can see it being prepared. Micro brewery on site too and i believe they do tours and tastings.

Absolutely Brilliant! well sign posted, beautiful grounds & easy parking. We went to food market first and quickly discovered a wonderful secure & inviting out door play area for my 3 year old nephew to enjoy. We were encouraged to do the Fairy Trail & Willow Walk - DO IT! was great, could easily spend hours wondering through the grounds. Best thing, the Fairy walk & grounds are free. I did see there was a microbrewery & bar but we ran out of time. I also saw they held various workshops and the kitchen food smelt divine. I have to mention the Toilets and changing area are 1st class. We went when weather was lovely, but id happily go in bad weather too, well worth it any day of the year!

Cracking spot and an amazing brewery - very highly recommended if you are nearby.

Disappointing lunchtime visit. Menu difficult to follow. Food lacklustre. Presentation dated with burger accompanied by 3 'buckets' of veg.

Great shop. Nice, if a little expensive Cafe.
