Visited today and it was a lovely experience. Staff were so friendly and helpful.

Stumbled in here as darkness was falling yesterday after a lovely, but chilly walk round the Cut. Had one of the best hot chocolates I've ever tasted, and a wee heat beside the wood stove. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely come back if I'm in the area again - thank you!

Staff were very nice and informative good setting and quality fish will be back

My husband Andy and I were the first couple to get married up there. Lots of family get togethers and a wee place we chill out if we are feeling a bit down and just need a wee boost.

It's always very friendly and calm. Can highly recommend the Mearns T Mc Caskie burgers.

Found out about Ardgowan by chance today and went on a lovely drive with my family to enjoy the sunshine in lovely and relaxed surroundings for young and old. The warmest welcome from Hazel, Robert and the Kirkpatrick Family (hope I got your surname right!) awaits everyone with lovely honest but good food and coffees at fantastic prices. Located in such tranquil surroundings so close to Greenock and apart from the Trout Fishery there there are plenty of walks and info at the Clyde Murshiel Park visitor centre opposite too. The kids had a ball running around and seeing all the fish and the many animals the family care for up there. A truly memorable and affordable day out. We will definitely be back, thank you so much.

A really great fishery. Well run by friendly, approachable folks who always take the time to engage with you. The setting is beautiful and feels completely different to most trout fisheries on offer nowadays. It really has a natural look and feel. My favourite fishery in the region, by far.
