Ardgowan Hotel

I stayed here a While ago while working up here. Great Staff , Very helpful about where I could go at night eto. Lovely comfortable room and Great Breakfast. My Wife and I and another 2 Couples are visiting in Nov so was Delighted to get accommodation again and thoroughly looking forward to our Break .

I would rate this hotel 4 overall but 5 for the staff. In particular, Elly and Carmen at the front desk who couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. As the face of this hotel, these two are the greatest!!!!! Provided great suggestions on what to see in St Andrews, how to get around etc. I needed to receive some business documents while there and this was handled in a confidential and sensitive manner. Staff at breakfast, though very overworked were also amazing! Hats off to Elly and Carmen and the rest of the staff. They prove you can have a great hotel but its nothing if the staff are not great! With thanks and appreciation for making our stay so pleasant and stress free!!!!

Nice hotel. No elevators. Minimal street parking. Restaurant attached great for breakfast but understaffed. Super location to St Andrews old course and downtown sights.

I would NOT recommend Ardgowan, we had to cancel our booking for September with more then two months notice due to unfortunate circumstances and we are not able to attend and they still charged us 119 pounds. I emailed them on this and they would not even reduce the charge. We are not very happy and will advise others not to book here

The service in the hotel was great, nice place to stay.

Food was great, rooms were clena, staff was friendly

The stay at this hotel was very comfortable, especially given the helpful and mindful attitude of the receptionists. The building seemed historic and had a perfect Scottish feel, and the breakfast was highly satisfying: apart from the attached photograph of the Full Scottish Breakfast, what I really enjoyed was the homemade granola cereal, which I would never be able to reproduce myself. What could be improved on would be the room decor (some furniture seemed a little dated), but that should not detract any visitor from selecting this hotel.

First class hotel rooms excellent and bed was like sleeping on air new type of mattress fitted staff are great and very helpful would definitely recommend this hotel and full Scottish breakfast included
