Ardmedden Horses

Horses at Ardmedden that are in work with a solid foundation. We sell other youngsters to trainers who want to produce themselves or we can bring them on.

The horses for sale at Ardmedden are mostly home bred with the view of producing a quality well balanced riding club active cob. The breeds we specialise in are R. I. D. and Haflinger with some of our horses having Welsh, Warmblood, Thoroughbred and heavy horse blood. We keep our horses in a very natural environment in large fields grazing with cattle /sheep. They are well acclimatised to life on the farm and are used to heavy machinery. We only bring them into work when we are sure they are mentally mature enough to do so this can mean leaving them till they are 7 years old. We want to get a reputation for taking the time it takes to get horses right and pride ourselves in teaching them in a calm and kind way leading to a well balanced horse. We know their personalities, strengths and weaknesses and will advice clients appropriately. We have a small selection of our horses on this page that are well through their training but customers are more than welcome to choose some of our horses and we will train them on for the client at an additional cost.
