You don't get that every day. Lads turning up in lederhosen. They say they're here to enjoy some fine Scottish fayre. Let's hope they don't eat it all too rapid, ken?

This is our wine of the week, The 2016 Kozlovic Teran - an absolute power house from Croatia. Made with Refosco grapes, this big hitter comes in strong with berry, plum and currant flavours. We'll do you a bottle for £27, then £9 or £6.50 for a large or small glass. Great with venison

Sadly #winteriscoming. So we're chilling things down a bit here at Ardnamurchan with some cool, crisp flavours. Our new cocktail of the week is the Icelandic Violet. Liqueur de Violette, @reyka_vodka, and lemon juice finished with cranberry juice and garnished with berries.

We always get asked, "what would you recommend on the menu?" Without a doubt, this is one of the best dishes - 8oz Venison Loin, served with potato pavé, braised savoy cabbage and cocoa roast parsnips in a port and juniper jus. This dish is absolute filth. 😋😋😋😋😋 #bestdish #venisonloin #venison #nomnomnom #getinmybelly #meat #byebye #bambi #tasty #foodie

Ardnamurchan's latest cocktail of the week - The Peat Julep. They can't sip this in the deep south. It's far too peaty for the likes of them.... #cocktails #cocktail #peaty #minty #julep #yummy #ooftthatsminty #crushedice

The boys in the kitchen have a special on at the moment - slow cooked roast pork loin in a mushroom brandy mustard sauce, served with parmentier potatoes and tender stem broccoli.

User

We’re visiting from Sandpoint Idaho and we asked the concierge for an authentic Scottish food restaurant. We were delighted by the ‘sea’ platter and a couple of pints. The servers were friendly and welcoming. We will be back to sample the ‘Land’ as well.

User

We were lucky enough to experience the pre theatre 3 course meal on our last evening in Glasgow before returning to Norway. It was amazing, a 3 course meal for that price unbelievable!! The fish stew was super tasty and the orange and lime posset a delight. We will definitely return when we are next in Glasgow. The staff were all very friendly too.

User

We had lunch here yesterday and it was excellent. Quality and presentation of dishes was very good and terrific value too. And a lovely bottle of NZ sauvy b. Would highly recommend. Just sorry we're not in Glasgow more often.

User

This was our 4th visit to the restaurant and can honestly say never been disappointed. The staff are always friendly and special mention to James for his service last night. The food was amazing. Mussels to start were delious as was the rest of the food. Place is spotlessly clean and bathrooms immaculate. We will definitely return

User

The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious, especially the cranachan. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and decor and great traditional music played in the background.

User

The food is incredible, The service is amazing from start to finish which really seals the deal for me with any restaurant

User

Such a lovely restaurant. Staff were super and very attentive and friendly especially to our little boys. The food was delicious and well priced - we went for lunch and are planning on going back for tea as soon as possible!

User

Second visit to Ardnamurchan and another excellent meal. Everyone's meal was first class and the staff are really welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Also, just found out the snug is dog friendly so we will be back with our wee border terrier very soon.

User

Really enjoyed the Pre-Theatre Menu, the price was great and a nice taster of what to expect from the A La Carte Menu. Nice atmosphere, for families, groups and couples. Will be back on my next trip to Glasgow xx

User

Lovely food served by a beautiful young Northern Irish girl... Brilliant place for a bite to eat, just across from the theatre on Hope Street.

User

Just had dinner here tonight to celebrate my sister's 40th birthday after she'd been let down by her original choice of venue. I'm so glad she decided to come here. They gave us a private dining area which was just the right size for our table of 10. The staff were so friendly and great with my kids, especially James who was very accommodating to make it a special night. The kids menu had a good choice and came with a colouring in picture and crayons. Both the kids had the chicken nuggets which looked good, handmade in a light crispy batter. The kids loved them. The rest of us chose from the pre-theatre menu which is a brilliant price, good choice and delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will come back again.

Amazing sparkling afternoon tea. Fresh sandwiches, warm scones, cranachan, cakes and a glass of bubbles. Plentiful and delicious!! Add on the excellent service, a truly great afternoon.

User

The food & was excellent, the service a wee bit disjointed as we had 5 different people waiting on at diff time so wasn't too quick, perhaps change of shift or new staff? ... anyhow, this would not put me off going again.

User
