Ardroy Outdoor Education Centre

Ardroy Outdoor Education Centre, based in Lochgoilhead, Argyll, was closed by Fife Council in July 2011 after 40 years of operation. In November 2011 the centre was reopened as a Company Limited by Guarantee, operating as a Social Enterprise and a Charity. Many schools who had previously attended Ardroy continue to return, and new schools have been attracted to visit. We are almost fully booked for the next 2 academic years. In addition, we now work in partnership with Children 1st working with vulnerable families and young people and also deliver teaching at degree level for Stirling University. The centre is located on the shores of Loch Goil in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and makes full use of the surrounding hills, rivers and lochs for its activities. Ardroy OEC has a proven track record of offering high quality outdoor education experiences to all age groups, but specialising in the Primary School market, with over 3, 000 Primary 6& 7s attending Ardroy every academic year, both mid week and at weekends.
