Meet your Skipper! Skipper Iain is the man who will introduce you to new places, he’ll tell you all about where you’re going and he’ll make sure your cruise is absolutely amazing. (He also cuts a dash in a Harris Tweed jacket ☺).
Thanks Jim for capturing Splendour setting sail on her recent cruise. Lovely to see Porpoise popping up along the way!
It’s better to cruise than to arrive when you travel onboard Splendour ☺

What an awesome experience! Skipper Iain and chef Simon looked after us splendidly, but the stars of the trip were the amazing islands, the wildlife, the sea, even the weather at times! An Orca whale, Minke whales, seals galore, friendly dolphins, porpoises, otters and 53 species of birds! A simply wonderful 2 weeks that I will never forget! Thanks!
We've recently returned from the Skye and small Isles cruise aboard Splendour and just wanted to say what an absolutely amazing time we had! Thanks to skipper Iain and chef Simon for looking after us all so well. Iain took us to beautiful spots for our overnight moorings and shore visits. We particularly loved Canna and the friendly seal who visited us as we arrived. The wildlife was spectacular on the whole trip and we saw eagles, dolphins, porpoises and a fleeting sighting of a minke whale and I can now identifie several different species of sea birds! My personal highlight was spotting a sea eagle. We loved every minute and we're already planning our next trip!
We just did a three night cruise round Mull, it was simply wonderful. Iain and Mike were a terrific team, working so hard to give us all the best possible trip, but always friendly and ready to chat and answer questions. Mike produced the most delicious meals, as good to look at as to eat. This was our first time aboard; I'm not surprised that people come back again and again.
Our three-night cruise was phenomenal. Iain and Mike treated us like family and Scotland felt like home. This will truly be a vacation we remember and treasure for the rest of our lives. The food was excellent, and Mike did an amazing job accommodating our food restrictions and requests. We brought along our children, 4 and 8 years old, and they loved the trip, too. There are plenty of opportunities to get on the shore to walk or cycle, and we adored the sea kayaks. Beautiful, peaceful experience.
Just returned from a wonderful week cruising the Inlets and Islands of Wild Argyll onboard Splendour with Skipper Iain and Chef Carlton. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip. Thanks also to Jamie for his help pre cruise.
Iain and his team could not have done more to make this a fabulous holiday on Scottish waters. They provided great experiences for us in and around lochs that protected us from gale force winds in the more open seas. The boat, crew, food, accommodation, views, walks and fellow guests were wonderful.
I had a wonderful day cruise yesterday. What a great experience. Fantastic food and wine, fantastic scenery and friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend Argyll Cruising to anyone
Had the most amazing time aboard this boat!
Ian was incredible we felt safe and relaxed. Jaime made it all happen seamlessly and Steven made us the most memorable meals! Can't wait to be back next year!
Great trip for the family or in a couple! Iain was a great skipper/tour guide/host, made us feel right at home. The food was out of this world - Mike's cooking was amazing. Great 3 days, can't wait to go back next year! :)
An outstanding week with Argyll Cruising. Kayaking, biking, hiking, fishing, outstanding food and all around good times! Definitely worth a do-over.
A great way to see the wildlife and sale around the Isles. Great skipper, food and boat. We love it
