We stayed at loch lomond lodges for our October half term break and it was a wonderful part of Scotland. The view while sitting in the hot tub was stunning and enjoyed visiting the neighbouring villages and towns. The lodge itself was well equipped and warmed up quickly and stayed warm so much so we had the heating OFF at night!! Can't wait to book argyll holidays again soon ☺
We held our daughters 4th birthday party at Rusty's funhouse at Hunters Quay Holiday Village on Sunday. The tables were all set out beautiful by the girls in the restaurant and food was excellent & arrived when planned. Prefect service. Other parents from our party were also impressed! There were plenty of signs up though out the building to advise that the playhouse was closed for a private party although you did get a few parents "chancing" it and trying to get their kids into the soft play but this couldn't have been avoided by the team. Once advised that a private party was taking place they removed their children and let's face it they couldn't say they didn't know as there was plenty of signs up and one even on the door to Rusty's Playhouse!
Thank you to the team at Hunters Quay Holiday Village for making our daughters party a great one! We will definitely recommend you for a child's party and will use facility again x
Stunning location with excellant facility's all year round...cabin 014 Osprey is just perfect at lochgoilhead. Very spacious cabin with double bed on suite with large shower.. another large spacious twin with another shower downstairs. Fully operation kitchen well equiped.... good heating system..good quality furnishings and linen. I would definitely recommend this holiday. ..something for all ages. Defiantly would come back and recommend.
Stayed at all the parks as me and my partner love exploring, Loch Lomond one has lovely park and spent many nights having a game of pool with my partner and kids, the one at Loch goilhead is so cosy and warm only downfall is deposit when arriving there, the one Loch awe is more for fishing or walking but still amazing base to travel around the one at strathyre has to be best one order your dinner through tv and love lay out of log cabin and beautiful walks for kids. So many parks all cleaned to high standard and would go out there way for customers. never had problem with any park
Spent a weekend in the tree tops Lodge at stratheck for my mums 70th. Very helpful friendly service. Spotless Lodge. Quiet, warm pool at hunters Quay for our children. Beautiful setting, especially with all the autumn colours. Lots of space within the lodge for our little guests. And the hot tub just topped it off.
Not long back from our 2nd stay, stayed in a family lodge 1st, we didn't want to leave, last time was only me and my partner, lodge was out of this world!!! We WILL be back x
My family and I just home from a lovely long weekend at Hunters Quay which I won as part of a facebook competition. We stayed in one of the Rowan premier hot tub lodges. Wow stunning lodge. Complex is brilliant even though it was low season my kids had a ball and are already set for our next trip. Thank you so much.
Just back from a fabulous relaxing girls weekend at drimsynie estate lodge was lovely and hot tub was well used facilities and activities were great fun thanks to Colin for the archery lesson and the snorkelling we had a great time (shame the bingo was cancelled)
Just back from Hunters Quay where I have a holiday caravan. I booked a Lodge for my Granddaughter and our great-grandson (5 months old) for a holiday, as a surprise as she travelled all the way from New Zealand, due to circumstances, her friends could not join her. The Lodge was an Oak Premier (Maplecroft 1) and we were not disappointed. It is stunning, 3 Bedrooms, sleeps 6, are beautiful decorated so my daughter, granddaughter and grandson joined us, the quality of the kitchen was superb. The lounge included Large TV, DVD, A surround system that would put a top class cinema to shame, very nice dining table and chairs the hot tub was lovely to use, yes, even in the rain! Rattan Garden furniture was on the decking, shame we couldn't get the use of it due to our Scottish weather, but we all had a great time just the same. If you choose this Lodge, you will not be disappointed. I will be booking again. I must mention the staff, sorry forgot all their names but from the moment we arrived they were very friendly, polite and helpful, the leisure centre has something for everyone. Well done to all staff and management!
I've just spent an amazing break at Gig in the Goil at Lochgoilhead. I can't recommend this event enough!! It was absolutely fantastic!!! It was extremely well organised with bands playing from lunch time each day into late in the evening.
The staff were helpful and friendly.
We had a hot tub lodge and the hot tub was maintained each day. Our lodge was clean with all appliances you would need - only thing was the 'sharp' knives weren't sharp.
We loved our long weekend break so much we've already booked for next year!!
Drimsynie was excellent, beautiful
location and great facilities.
Staff were lovely in all areas and the shop on site is well stocked and not overpriced, lovely friendly service.
Well I am an owner here and was so disappointed with the food in the new restaurant it is overpriced and basically I could have had Better in McDonald's. You will need to get your finger out I will not be back until it improves. I use the restaurant regularly why such a hike in prices. Not on really disappointed
We stayed here was a long weekend in a hot tub chalet! Was a lovely weekend. I think the swimming pool could be more kid friendly with slide and water sprayers etc to make it bit more exciting. Restaurant was good we had lunch and dinner here! Entertainment for the kids was good but was the same every night but my daughter loved it except for rusty coming out she was scared of him! All in all good long weekend!!
The holidays they have are good and chilled out feeling to them. Been to Drimsynie and it’s nice although leisure facilities at the time were horrible with the water tank for toilet appeared to be burst and the pool was freezing. Came back on Monday from Dunoon and again it was nice no complaints with anything the pool was perfect temperature.
Only gripe is how long it takes to get deposit money back after Drimsynie it took 5 days to be returned and now 72 hours on from leaving Dunoon still no sign of the deposit being back in my account. I know some banks take longer than others but maybe have to look at the way you take deposits as people could be relying on that money being returned for paying a bill etc. Thankfully not in that situation but just feel time limit is just far too long.
Just back from my friends hen weekend where we stayed in one of the hot tub lodges at Drimsynie.....had the most amazing weekend however wasn't keen on your beauty therapist....fortunately the manager sorted this out for us, but you really need to update your price list as your beautician doesn't do acrylics!
Visited yesterday. Ordered food for three, only two dishes arrived.
That was OK as the manager dealt with it perfectly.
However, if you are under 18 you are NOT permitted to use the pool unless accompanied by an adult .
A bit disappointing if you have teenage children who are able swimmers.
What ever you do dont buy a caravan here .. they gave me 6k for my caravan and i see they are selling it for 24k on the website. Then they have the cheek to send you an email with it on it .... really .. site fees , rates , caravan insurance per year not much change from over 4k .. Think carefully. ... its the wilerby aspen on the web site so if anyone is buying it let them know ... daylight robbery ...
This was our 5th time at hunters quay. Were there in August. It's a really nice site and never had a problem with the lodges before. But the cleanliness was lacking and damp smell, even damp on the roller blinds in the bathroom. Complained but got only an apology. Took it up with abta but argyll holidays is not a member so they can't do nothing. So now having to take it up with the citizens advice. We paid over £1000 for the lodge this is not value for money. We were at lochgoilhead in April paid £750,the lodge was four star had no complaints.
The driver of your 'wide load' land rover, is an accident waiting to happen. Decided he didnt want to wait in a queue of traffic today when going down loch lomond towards glasgow, forcing everyone to break to allow him back in after he had pulled out. Maybe consider not doing it on the works vehicle next time
