We had coffee and cake but perfect surroundings and view. The host was very friendly and quiet happy for us to sit around waiting for a boat to staffa. Lovely lovely lovely place. D Leslie

Very considerate, lovely rooms and service!

Great place. My wife and I spent a week at he Argyll and had a wonderful time. Location, room, service and food were all top-notch. This was my wife's 2nd stay there and she was just as impressed on this stay as she was on her first.

Probably the best view in all of Scotland. Interesting menu, excellent breakfast, unique ambience.

A marvellous place. The soup was just delicious! Owners and waiters are really nice and helpful!

I dined at the Argyll Hotel and had a nice meal and dessert. I had a beef brisket which was delightful along with a dessert of chocolate cheese cake and ice cream.

We had a lovely short stay. The dinner menu includes mostly local produce, including veg from the organic garden. Several vegetarian choices, rather than a single token item. We ate local fish and island hogget and lamb. The scrambled eggs and lush smoked trout for breakfast were delicious.
There is no mobile reception on the island, and no TV in our room, or the several nice lounges. Bliss!

We had a remarkable stay, thoroughly enjoyed the amazing room number 1!. We loved the giant bathtub and wish we had one of our own. Cool mirror- touch it to light it up!; The rough stone wall was so authentic and the little wood coal stove so cozy and the spectacular view of the harbor and garden. The food was amazing and passed even my high standards of healthy foods for the meats were local grass fed, pastured free range and the vegetables organic and grown right on the premises. The staff was so helpful suggesting best places to walk and we enjoyed the company of the other guests down in the lounge and dining area.
