As a family of 6 with 4 young children we bought our car from Arnold Clark, London road, who advertise that they supply the "best customer service" and "treat customers fairly" this maybe the case up until point of sale, as we thought what was a great deal has resulted in an on-going nightmare! The car we chose was unfit for sale! The car would not lock from the moment we took it home as the boot will not close the system therefore thinks it is open and will not lock the car at all, causing the lights to come on which then drains the battery! Despite numerous returns with the vehicle,
after the 4th visit to "fix the ongoing issue" which has still not been resolved, we were told we could not have a courtesy car while the attempt to repair (again) was undertaken ,
With demanding jobs , four children and residence 25 miles away this was simply not good enough! We chose to live with the faults for a time as we had a lot of personal issues going in which meant we could not pursue issues with the car, which included, a hole in the drivers floor, passengers side fog lights hanging out , a massive dent appeared on the drivers side rear door after the 2nd return, which we photographed and sent to manager , faults with the inside blowers, the boot will still not shut and still cannot lock the car! Tailgate trim for the boot release is barely attached and all of this from a car with 20k miles at the point of sale!

In an attempt to have the main fault of the boot resolved we have tried to contact Arnold clark and left messages with staff and sales on countless occasions, as yet I have never had a return call, even though I had purchased an "after sales" package which is seemingly worthless! As a manager within a professional company myself I find this an unacceptable manner in which to treat your customers and discredits Arnold clarks values.

We feel undervalued , bitterly disappointed and disgusted with the treatment received and are now left fitting the bill for a 16k car that is unsafe, null and void in terms of insurance that we have to use to take our kids to and from school, go to work and care for my wife's elderly grandmother after the recent passing of her grandfather!

Last but not least, the online complaints procedure does not work either! "Page unavailable" is what we are greeted with when trying to raise these issues that way! The lack of professionalism in general here is nothing short of appalling we just hope no one else has to suffer the way we have.

If you are looking for a new car, great and reliable service, take yourself elsewhere! We could recommend a few other companies we had great service with in the past it was just unfortunate that we were enticed by what we thought was a great deal from a "trusted" company.

I purchased my car under two years a go from them. Since day one car is not right. They very friendly up to sell you the car. in fact they don’t even change a oil or service the car, only indicates on paper work not in reality, not checking the car especially the 2-3 years lease cars, faulty or not in my point they just wash and polish and sale the car. So just the be caution go there with good mechanic to inspect to car before buy. I think all the positive reviews are look like there on.

Great aftercare service from Ryan Gilles and London Road team. Purchased my car from same branch ( 2nd car from here). Alloys paintwork oxidising....just picked back up and they look brand new! No quibbles and done in a day can't ask for better service that.

I bought a mercedes B class and was told it was ready to go . When I asked if the scratches that were shown on the paperwork had been repaired I was told yes,it was raining so we couldn't really check.we were also told the car had run flat tyres and we didn't require an inflatable so this sold the car to me as we had a blow out several years ago and it was very scary. This was the deal maker.But when I took the car to a mercedes dealer I was told the tyres were not run flat. As I drove the car from arnold clark there was a message on the dash saying I had to take the car to a dealer to have it repaired.so I think they were so eager to make the sale they never even checked the car .I feel we were treated like mugs.

If you are looking for a car and want the personal touch then ask for Paul Campbell. This guy goes out his way, sends you video clips . I even bought a car from another branch and 4 weeks later traded in as Paul found the car I wanted. Please buyer beware and check that car has been serviced, last service, and if from a non franchised stock has been serviced correctly and to manufacturers guidlines. Save time and ask for Paul

Went to buy a Mercedes 1 year old out of this Showroom,asked how many owners the car had,I was told 1,asked when I could take the car away if I bought it today,I was told a few things have to be fixed with the car first? It was a bit of a wreck to be honest,,I ran a check on the car plate and found out it was a fleet of Ex Hired Mercedes and others,they had for sale in there showroom,but fail to tell you this,no wonder it was a wreck,I'm sure if I'm about to pay over £24,000 I want it to be 1 careful owner and in like new condition,they have no respect for the customer all they want is your money and hit the sales targets,my advice ,stay clear of Arnold Clark,especially this one,they are a bunch of charlatans .

Took the wife to Arnold Clark on Saturday to see about a new car,wasn't pounced on or harassed had a wee walk through looking at the cars we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful salesman called Paul(Moran)who showed us around looked at lots of cars with no pressure to buy but very knowledgeable about the products he was selling wife decided on her car Paul sorted all the paperwork only needed me to sign no stress less fuss and hassle than I had with my car from another car firm anyhow I'd like to thank Paul and the team for there help and the way they make you feel welcome I'll definitely be calling into see them when I need a new car thanks again Paul and Arnold Clark team not forgetting wee Jordan ten out of ten brilliant well recommend you guys yours joe Reilly

Very disappointing car salesman. Bought a Citroen ds3 in March. my feeling is once the salesman has handed over car he's not interested with you anymore. It's now December still havnt got my cherished plate on my car dent is still on door and my service light is on telling me I need a service even though salesman told me it would not be due till March. Never would I visit the showroom again
