Amazing Staff and Car. Travelled 200 miles to get the car and it was completely worth it! From Ciaran sending me a full tour of the car on a video before I came up to test drive to actually test driving the car with Dominique and Michael sorting the finance and sale out and answering every question I had with detail, also for arranging transport from the train station to the dealership. Even the little things like including a care package full of cleaning products and first aid kit. Perfect customer service and a perfect car. Car came with one key and Michael organised for a new key to be ordered at my local Audi dealership without me even asking for it. Couldn't fault them at all. Would recommend this dealership to anyone thinking of buying a car! Thanks again!

I have never left a negative feedback before or a complaint. There's always a first.
So, I dropped my car off at this branch on a Friday to get a service and MOT. I left it early in the morning and the girl told me car would be ready for 5 or will get a call from them beforehand if there's anything needing done.
At 4.30 that evening I heard nothing from them and I decided I would ring them to see what s happening. Then I got a call back 10 mins later saying your car has failed MOT as it's needing a tyre and a spring. To my frustration I enquired whether this can be done that day and why I wasn't informed earlier. The girl simply said she was going to call me. Which I thought was absolutely unacceptable. To my worst nightmare they close in another 30 mins so they can't do it that day.
I said I wanted to just pick up my car now as I have work the following day. I commute 90 mins to work and public transport is not an option for me. The girl said no i won't be able to pick up my car as it's illegal. I actually have MOT for another 2 months. the girl on the line was treated me like insane saying I would have to sign a form to say I am doing something illegal (that's not how she put it, but that's how it sounded to me).
I told her in that case do everything and I'll pick up the car tomorrow.
(To get to work I insured myself onto my mums car and drove to work).
The next day, second nightmare. Get a call saying car is still failing MOT due to brake. For gods sake. I told them to do it and I would find find a cheaper deal so I can price match.
The day after I get a phone call saying. Do you want the stuff done as they still haven't done it. Yes! god! Yes!
That evening I went to pick up the car. With complete disappointment and frustration. They initially quoted £500 something. When I got there the women demanded I must pay £608 or something. Then the women checks again after I refused to pay and asked them to double check. They now think it's £519!!!!
I am in tears with the complete experience. Please tell me is there a worse service than what I was offered. I am literally crying while I write this. I have had enough.
The please don't go to this branch. Infact, Arnold Clark in general. This is not how anybody should be treated.

Absolutely disgraceful service. Would rate 0/5. Quoted one amount tonbe charged in excess of £100 over quoted for parts they admitted to breaking themselves. Also, advised car would be ready at certain time but ended up 5 hours late. Customer services just as useless at complaint resolution. Avoid using at all costs.

Best dealership I've been to . purchased car , excellent service , sales manager Daniel extremely courteous , sales manager Greg , really excellent also . friendly , no hard sell but genuinely nice guys who gave me a great deal . Really excellent customer service in this branch : other dealerships would do well to replicate what these guys do!

On the one hand, the service/mechanic side of the business is fairly decent. I've taken my car there on a few occasions for services, MOTs and other minor problems and they did a decent job for a fair price. Certainly far better than chains like Kwik Fit and they seem honest enough.

Having bought a car from here, though, I wouldn't recommend the showroom/dealership side of the business. The salesman was the usual glib slimeball that you get in car dealerships. He told me some blatant nonsense about the previous owner of the car. I was looking at a pre-registered car - I knew fine well what it was and why it was listed as second hand despite only having a hundred miles or so on the clock. Yet the salesman still felt the need to invent some idiotic story about how the previous owner had "won the car in a raffle" and decided to trade it in.

He did this, of course, so that I would think it wasn't a pre-registered car and buy it for the inflated price he was trying to flog it at. He also tried to slip horrendously uncompetitive deals through in the hope that I wouldn't notice. I ended up buying the car despite the actions of the salesman, not because of them.

This was nothing new to car dealerships perhaps, but I've no idea why businesses still think putting dishonest patter merchants in the front of a showroom is the best way to sell cars. Treating people like human beings rather than trying to rip them off would go a long way to attracting business back.
