Arrochar Chippy - Fish And Chips

We stopped in this chippy on our way back from the Inveraray Castle.
In this little and cosy chippy I had the best fish and chips in my life! The batter was gold and very good, the haddock was so tender it melted in my mouth, and the chips was good as well. Absolutely the best money I spent during my stay in Scotland.

The fish was real good but the chips were a bit average, some were crispy some were "starchy" - sorry thats how I can describe it. I also wish I took a picture.

I've been passing that place many times but just recently I stopped for a fish and chips. Very good fish and chips. Great decoration! doesn't similar to fish and chips shop and giving that place nice soapy smell. Friendly stuff! Well done!

This was a really welcome sight after a long day walking. The food was fantastic. We had the fish and chips and some soup, both were big portions (two fillets!). Very friendly service as well, and a wonderful decor. I would highly recommend eating here.

Small, friendly chippy with seating around the edges - benches like in coffee shops, facing the walls - but very pleasantly decorated. Being a British chippy most customers take away anyway. Fish and chips was very good. It looks like they have a proper coffee machine, but we didn't try it.

Lovely friendly staff. Called up beforehand to check if the food is fried separate to Burgers, pork etc as we only eat halal. It was. Beer free batter too.

We're staying at the log cabins just around the corner. Not far, and great fish n chips with delicious mushy peas, all for £7. Super cheap. Such a huge portion - just right for the 2 of us.

We also bought 3 handmade soaps as into all the original handmade stuff, chemical free. Very impressed.

The shop has a lovely warm feel to it. We will be back soon.

This place isn't called Rendezvous anymore. It's the Arrochar Chippy Fish & Chip shop. The food is excellent! And great people running it, best smelling chip shop with the addition of locally made Argyll soaps for sale inside as well.
