Art House Bed And Breakfast

Sally and Rob McDonald welcome you to 'Sandwood' Art House, a beautiful place to relax and escape the pace of modern living.

'Sandwood' is a striking Scandinavian Styled wooden house in the small Highland village of Heaste. Situated 100m above sea level we enjoy unsurpassed views of the mainland hills of Knoydart, Loch Eishort and the Sleat peninsula, with the island of Rum completing the panorama.

This light and airy house features under floor heating and is insulated to a high standard. Large windows abound to capitalise on the wonderful scenery. The interior has an eclectic mix of furnishings with works of art by local artists and Sally and Rob themselves.

We are 5 miles along a single track road from Broadford where there are restaurants, tourist information, supermarket, petrol /diesel, bank and post office.

Both the guest rooms are on the upper floor and have King size double beds. They are light and airy with stunning views across to Rum and the mainland hills. Rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, WIFI, CD player /docking station.

Our breakfasts are a feast of local and home made food. You can try our home made bread, fresh eggs from our hens, local honey and black pudding from the near by Isle of Lewis.
