A programme of artist residencies at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children at Yorkhill in Glasgow, taking place in 2013. We're gathering ideas and inspiration for artwork to go on the walls of the new children's hospital, due to open in 2015.

Art Yorkhill Description

The artists are Emma Varley, working with the Department for Child & Family Psychiatry; Frances Priest, working with children at Yorkhill; Ian Richards, working with young people at Yorkhill; and Alison Unsworth, working with Yorkhill and local partners to create an online drawing project and activity newspaper.

Alison Unsworth has been looking through the Unfinished Places newspapers sent in last year, gathering ideas for artwork to go on the walls of the new children's hospital in Glasgow.

A design for artwork to go on the walls of the new children's hospital by Frances Priest. It's based on circus characters and is inspired by her time spent drawing, cutting, sticking and chatting with children on the wards at Yorkhill hospital last year.

We're announcing the winners of our Unfinished Places newspaper competition. Entrants were asked to complete the picture 'Who or what is lost in the woods?' by drawing, writing or sticking things in.
Our three winners were chosen by Lucy, a young person who is currently a patient at Yorkhill; Sarah Barr, Young People's Activities Coordinator for NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde; and Alison Unsworth, Lead Artist for the Graphics Project.
The winners are Saskia, Hillhead Primary Sch...ool, Lewis, Garnetbank Primary School and Medbh, Garnetbank Primary School. Congratulations!
