Arthur's Seat Dolls, found in 1836
Three boys in Arthur's Seat, stumbled on to a strange find in 1836. While playing near a cave, they found 17 little coffins with 17 dolls inside. Each doll had uniforms that were sewn specifically for the doll. Who put these there? Why? What do they mean?

great place but need to early to get a parking place
What an amazing climb! Stunning views, loads of people of all ages, shapes, sizes getting to the top ( which isn’t as hard as it looks !) and loads of pathways to meander along and discover a duck pond, old chapel, or an exhilarating run back down !! Don’t miss it !!
This is s must do outdoors experience in magical Edinburgh. From below you can't believe you will climb all the way to the top but you do. The stone steps make this a relatively easy walk surprisingly. Do not have a big night of whiskey drinking thr night before though. The views of intensely beautiful Edinburgh from up here are just wonderful. Be sure to touch the legendary spot of Arthur's seat. The green of the parks below is lush and surreal. Wear sneakers or climbing boots!
The short hike up is a great deal of fun and appears to be easy enough for all ages, but caution should be used due to loose rocks. The view at the top is spectacular and that it may be the site of so many beautiful stories truly lends itself to a feeling of awe. Wether you believe it's a sleeping dragon or the site of Camelot, sunset it a stupendous time to enjoy it.
The day I hiked in April it was extremely windy! This is a "must see" if you are an outdoor advocate!!! Make it to the top and see the brass plate in the bolder, really a great feeling to check off the bucket list! Spectacular views surrounded by very sweet people.
Some of my happiest memories involve this beautiful hill....spent my childhood here and proud to be from edinburgh
So beautiful. Definitely worth a visit whether you like walking or not :)
Just beautiful! So worth the effort to see the top.
It’s quite the climb but totally worth the view of Edinburgh.
It's beautiful. I went there in the morning to see the sunrise and it was simply stunning. If you go there during the day it might be a bit crowded. Don't forget your windproofed jacket as it is windy. Oh and there are cute little rabbits in the morning
Hiking up Arthur’s seat is an excellent way to get a panoramic view of Edinburgh. Really enjoyed the hike! My guide Mr. Sepp Jans, led me on a path which deviates from the normal gravel path but totally worth it since we we’re able to avoid the rest of the crowds. Once we reached the summit, it can get really windy so I would suggest that you wear layered clothing so you can adapt to all conditions. On the way down, we took a route thru Salisbury’s Crag which was a bonus. Highly recommended!!!! Merci beaucoup monsieur Jans
Great walk up today, lovely views with snow on the hills. But chilly and windy at the top as expected! Will definitely do it again and recommend it to anyone
Great walk and wonderful view. Be prepared to burn a few calories.
Definitely worth to visit and climb that magical hill! The view will take your breath away. I enjoyed every minute on the top of it ^_^
Breathtaking views, worth the climb. A must-see when visiting Edinburgh !
Beautiful place.
Beautiful and conveniently located. The hilly landscape and swan pond gives a taste of the greater hikes this country has to offer. The view from Arthur's Seat is very scenic, Take the hike up to Arthur's Seat path along Salisbury Craig you won't regret it! :)
An easy walk from the city center to these beautiful green hills. The hike from the base to the peak took about half an hour and finished with spectacular views of the city and surrounding countryside.
