About Asb Association Of Scottish Businesswomen

The Association of Scottish Businesswomen (ASB) was founded in 1995 as the umbrella organisation for business and professional women's clubs throughout Scotland. A number of other clubs and networks with similar interests are actively discussing membership. The Association of Scottish Businesswomen is a voluntary, ‘not-for-profit' organisation founded in 1995 to link and support women in business across Scotland. Its aim is to encourage personal and professional development and promote opportunities in business by networking, exchanging views and encouraging and recognising achievement. The ASB currently has 10 affiliated Clubs with about 1000 members who create wealth through their own business or contribute to Scotland's prosperity through their managerial and professional skills. During 2011, the current ASB Committee created an exciting new vision and strategy for the organisation. Using the strong foundations developed over the last 16 years, this strategy aims to embrace the ASB's unique national position to become the voice of all women in business across Scotland and inspire, link and support those women to increase and strengthen their opportunities.
