Asda Dunbar Supermarket

One stop shop for everything you need at reasonable prices, however fruit and veg could be keep fresher for longer

As fine an example of a medium-sized supermarket as you could expect to find in East Lothian

Very helpful cashier put things through at your pace very cheery

Loved the live performance by Murray Mackay the swift wee guy. His vocals, although amateur, was far more invigorating than pop trash on the radio. 10/10 from the mickster will be back soon!!

Individual staff members are always helpful, but the rest of this place is truly dreadful.
This supermarket has such an opportunity to serve the people of Dunbar whose only other option is the CO-OP.
Every time I go in I say it will be the last. Vast empty spaces on the shelves where everyday products should be. Sometimes empty cardboard boxes mark the spot sometimes just a large completely empty space.
Last night it was a complete absence of any sparkling water of any size. I was in shops in Moscow in the 1980's - this is what parts of Asda looks like.
I have spoken to "Managers" several times about the stock ( or rather lack of it) and have never had an explanation (despite promises of them getting back to me - which they never do) of why they get it so badly wrong.
All veg now seems to come in plastic. Everything seems to be a £1 or 2. It's so bad it would be funny if there was anywhere else closeby to shop for essentials.
I suppose the Management know this and they don't care enough to ever answer any of my questions.
I will vote with my feet and if more people did as well maybe they would sit up and take notice but I doubt it.

Update May 2017

Asda finally has a manager that seems to be listening and is trying to make the store better.
He has listened to my comments and has introduced some products that they previously did not stock or were discontinued.
Hopefully the improvements will continue. Thank you for listening.
