Ashley Ann Kitchens

Remodelled Victorian ground floor flat. Completely new kitchen, bathroom, WC, and en suite. Ashley Ann designer and materials were excellent, 5 stars. Builder recommended and used, YGM Plumbing & Building, extraordinarily poor project management and service, 0 stars. Final result is good (joiner work excellent), but extremely unpleasant with which to work, and took an extra 4 months from estimate to finish, costing us a fortune in rent, storage, rescheduled moving costs.

We had our kitchen refitted by Ashley Ann in March 2015. The service from start to finish was absolutely excellent from when we were first welcomed into the showroom through the process of design, delivery, fitting, tiling and finish. Heidi Denholm was absolutely first class, not just giving us the benefit of her knowledge and expertise in design but also responding quickly to our questions. Keith who did our fitting and Steve who did our tiling (yep Steve Tiler) were great and the kitchen was in and finished in no time at all. I would be very happy to recomment Heidi and the team.

We called in Ashley Ann for the first time about a year ago from writing this review. After 13 years in the same new build house with basic wardrobes we thought it was about time we upgraded and got proper fitted wardrobes that weren't the standard builder's single rail and single shelf. These don't work for us, and Mrs C had seen that Ashley Ann have a good range so in we went.

We were met by Heidi, she listened to what we were wanting, explained what was in the showroom, what was coming and what was available but wouldn't be in the showroom. So we took a look around and despite not having in what we were looking for (we previously had carcass based wardrobes) were fairly impressed with what was in the showroom, so continued to look around.

So after another visit and giving a brief of what we were looking for, Heidi scurried off and worked some magic and came up with a design for us. On the day we'd arranged to go in to see the plan we had major doubts about it prior to arrival, we'd given the briefest of briefs and wasn't sure whether we'd provided enough information. However, what Heidi had produced was bang on, so we committed to an order. Our new kitchen was to become reality.

What, kitchen? We went in for wardrobes.... Well, that Metris curved kitchen at the front of the showroom had distracted us, we forgot about the wardrobes along the way on the first visit. But that was our doing, no sales, no pressure, nothing, and we were geared up for the kitchen being the next big thing anyway. The plan Heidi produced worked, far better than any option we'd come up with. And that brief we'd given? Heidi clearly read far more into it than we thought we'd given. We made a couple of minor changes to the original plan in order to fit in a couple of extras but that was all.

Choices were easily made, some might find the range of options overwhelming, others might delight in it. Mrs C grabbed the worktop sample I was just feeling for texture and worked on that and came up with a good combination. Appliance choice was down to us, no hard sell on anything at all, we chose at home and fed in to Heidi for the costs.

From the order being placed it was plain sailing. We kept in regular contact, we had a long wait due to us working around school holidays but when the day finally arrived and we had our temporary kitchen set up it went like clockwork. Snagging is a fact of life. Ross came down and added a few items that we hadn't noticed, would never had noticed, but he found to be not of the standard he expected - attention to detail clearly a strong display of professional pride for Ashley Ann.

The kitchen Heidi produced for us from such a concise wardrobe requirements brief was remarkable. The fitting, the after sales, can't fault at all.

Can't thank Heidi, Keith and Ross enough. A new kitchen is normally a stressful job, but we really can't remember those two weeks now, we are very settled into it. Even after a few months of living with it every day we still feel the "wow" factor walking into it.

We'll be back in soon to look at bathrooms, that way we might end up with our wardrobes.

My wife & I had a broad view of what we liked and wanted in our new kitchen and we presented our thoughts to Heidi at Ashley Ann. From our first viewing of her outline design we were sure Ashley Ann were the company for us. All our wishes were met with clever little design features, especially around an island where we were unsure if we even had enough space.
Next we dealt with the detail where we were undeniably fussy and preferred to take our time. Heidi led us expertly through this phase. She welcomed our input whilst coming up with many features we had not thought of.
Finally the installation process was simply excellent. Keith and his team were willing to “go the extra mile” to resolve any issues that inevitably cropped up. We felt that Heidi & the installation team truly cared about giving us the kitchen that we dreamed of. If anything, our finished kitchen has exceeded our expectations. Though there is more in the kitchen than before it really feels bigger. Very practical & functional, easy to work in, plenty of storage and looks fantastic. “Our dream kitchen came true”
We bought our dream kitchen from Ashley Ann in Edinburgh. Our kitchen designer Heidi Denholm came up with great ideas for the design and spent a lot of time with us to meet our needs. We also bought the ex-display Neff appliances from Ashley Ann with great savings. The delivery of the kitchen and appliances was in time without any fault and the fitter Keith did a great job. Our kitchen looks stunning.
The kitchen experience was great from start to finish and we would highly recommend Ashley Ann to all our friends .
