About Ashoka Finnieston

The original Ashoka West End Indian restaurant, feeding Glasgow since 1973.

Ashoka Finnieston Description

Ask any Glaswegian for directions to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, and they're sure to say "D'you know the Ashoka West End?" Immortalised as a famous culinary landmark, it sits on the corner of the longest street and shortest road in the city, and shines like a beacon and acts like a magnet to Glasgow's colossal curry eating fraternity.

What can I say Ashoka are the Curry Kings of Scotland, we love their food and my favourite dish is Bhoona Lamb, which they cook to perfection. A great restaurant and great curries, & welcoming staff.

Can’t beat a good curry.

Excellent food and brilliant friendly service 😊 As others have said the decor is not the best but the food makes up for it. Tandoori salmon fab and hubbies chicken tikka jalfaizi was the best he has had x keep doing what you are doing and we promise it won't be a year before we return again 😉

User

AMAZING food and fabulous service. Great night.

User

We had the groupon voucher £8 for 2ppl for a 3 course lunch .We went to the Ashton Lane restaurant and weren't disappointed. We expected the portion sizes to be small as the price was so cheap but they were surprisingly big.Vegetable pakora was sooo good as was the vegetable curry with spinach.Service was good we'll definitely go back and would recommend to others

User

Top food, very good service of the waitresses, with many suggestions to me. When I'll be back in Glasgow I'll return. I come to Ashoka saturday night. Thank you guys!

User

Food was amazing. Service was ok.. we were sat at a very small table & beside a very hot radiator (which was turned off) but there was another small heater directly behind us which made it a very uncomfortable dining experience.. we will be back to the Argll street restaurant but won't take the same table

User

We dropped in last night for a portion of pakora yes I know it was only 1 portion and I wish I had taken a picture of this, it cost £4.50 and it was the smallest portion I have ever had in all my years , there was 5 extremely small and very thin pieces and we will never be back. The worst part also was that the guy that brought it out asked us if we would manage it, clearly sarcasm as it was just pakora, poor service and the smallest of orders can lead to more visits, surly as a business you would know this. We are a family that eat out on a regular basis and we will not go back here and certainly will not recommend to anyone.
