Ask Italian

The hospitality was amazing. Both of the waiters couldn't have been more friendly, informative or helpful. The food itself was lovely. Would definitely recommend the garlic bread folded over with three different cheeses (can't remember the name!). The brisket bolognese was perfect, and I had their special take on Eton Mess, which was the perfect ending to the meal, being just enough to enjoy without being sickly. Can't wait to go again!

Love! Love! Love! One of the best places to go as a family. The waiting staff are fab and welcoming and were great with our 19month old. The kids menu is fabby, our daughter had no complaints and was rewarded with a slice of choccie pizza! We'll definitely be back. �

Had lunch here after doing some Xmas shopping. We were seated straight. We were served drinks & our lunch was served in gd time. Everyone enjoyed there meals & the garlic cheese bread was to die for. The staff were very attentive & Friendly & i felt they made a big effort to make sure we enjoyed our meals. Would definitely go again �

Had a great time, went with my friend, there was no rush to make choices, good food, staff were excellent, no negative things to say, we Will be going back

Had a beautiful meal (Sea Bass) here last night. It was delicious, the quality of the food was excellent and the service was first class. Look forward to my return.

wonderful filling meal,good attention with staff,and lovely touch with their homemade cordial..

Starters was lovely, but my chicken was burnt all round edges, waited nearly 10 mins after recieved meal and had to ask for mushroom sauce that goes with and had been sitting out so was slighltly cold, over all was nice and would go back x

My daughter and I went into Ask Italian for lunch yesterday when we were in Livingston doing some Christmas shopping! On entering the restaurant the girl who showed us to our table was lovely,very friendly and imformative! We had time to look at the menus and decide what we would like before ordering, nothing was rushed and our waitress was also lovely and friendly! We ordered our drinks which were served in gorgeous glasses! Our lasagne was superb, really tasty and very well presented! There was no rush to leave after we'd finished our meal it was a lovely pleasant experience and we will definitely be back!! Keep up the good work! Very impressive!

Been a few times but not for a year. Visited yesterday and was very happy with the service & quality of food. Everything arrived piping hot & seemed pretty fresh. I asked for no pine nuts in my pasta which sadly it did have but didn’t affect the taste too much so still enjoyed it. Friendly staff & lovely ambience in restaurant. Fairly reasonably priced. Would visit again.

This is the 3 time I've been to Ask Italian in livingston and have been left feeling disappointed each time. Had I not had vouchers to use up I wouldn't have gone back. One thing you expect an Italian restaurant to do well is a bolognaise, unfortunately I had to send mine back as it was watery, lacked meat content and was extremely bland! The kids meals were OK, you can't really go wrong with a calzone, however it lacked filling and again was fairly bland.

The only thing with even less personality than the food were the waiting staff! This was most definitely my 3rd and final visit to ASK Italian I'm afraid.

Staff were really nice and helpful. Food was just OK. My pasta was placed in the oven to melt the topping so top layer of pasta was crispy and our dough stick starters felt as if they were microwaved so a bit floppy. 5 stars for staff- 2 stars for the food
