All aboard the Hogwort's Express!!
Ok, it's actually the Jacobite steam train running from Fort William to Mallaig, but the Glenfinnan viaduct that the train passes over was a Harry Potter filming location and the train attracts many Potterheads keen to experience this magical journey and imagine themselves on the way to Hogworts. Harry Potter aside, the route is spectacular and often dubbed one of the world's greatest railway journeys. It's a wonderful and popular day trip for guests staying at Aspen Lodge between April and October.

Thanks Toby Lee for footage of our almost-resident otter seen out and about yesterday. We also have a pair of golden eagles nesting nearby and a sea eagle was spotted over the lodge a few days ago. Ardnamurchan is such a good holiday destination for nature lovers 🌿🐾
