About Assembly Roxy

A multi-functional arts space, with inspiring spaces to rent for theatrical, wedding, personal and corporate needs.

Assembly Roxy Description

Assembly Roxy is the year round home of Assembly Festival and Assembly Theatre, situated in the heart of the Old Town in Edinburgh. The venue has three event spaces that are available to hire throughout the year; Roxy Central, Roxy Upstairs and Roxy Downstairs. These spaces can be used for a wide range of events; from various types of performances and live music, to weddings, conferences and exhibitions. Along with these spaces, we also have the Snug Bar, a cosy area that can be used either independently or alongside an event, in order to let guests relax before, during or after events. The building is well known for its use in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

such a cool venue! Would love to see more music nights going on!!

User

never performed here before but now I see what an excellent venue it really is. Also you can't beat the gothic character the building has. It all adds to the charm of the venue. Plus the acoustics are fantastic! Hope I get to perform here again in the future 😁

User

great venue, warm even in the dead of winter when i was there!

User

We were here for Beer Festival .What a great atmosphere .Lovely building with many original features .Great staff at Festival .All were very helpful and personable .We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and plan to return .

User

We had our wedding at the Roxy last weekend, and it was absolutely wonderful.

Caroline and her team couldn't have been more helpful, and they bent over backwards to ensure that we had a memorable day.

Five stars - perfect venue, location, and staff!

User

We are having an outstanding time working with the Assembly Roxy, Caroline and her team have been outstanding in helping us with anything and everything! Thank you!

User

The gothic vibe as you enter the establishment is one of beauty and elegance. The lay out is visibly structured to cater for all events and a must see for anyone planning a special occasion... The pilars are positioned around the hall peripheral like soldiers protecting its boundaries... the stage is perfect for bands and the sound rebounds from the building with added perfection... The floor has spring which alllows for fluency with movement..

If you read this and still not convinced then I recommend that you should arrange a viewing and chech it out - you will not be disappointed

Had my wedding reception/ceilidh here a few weeks ago and we were really happy we chose here- such a cool place! The manager Caroline was more than helpful and answered all queries almost immediately and was happy to show us around at various points. Would recommend it for a function, we had about 120 guests in the end, expecting 140 right to the end when people pulled out and I was worried that it would look too big and affect the atmosphere but it is the type of place where you can move tables and things to be flexible for these kind of situations and I don't think that was noticeable in the end. Thanks to all the staff there who helped make our night great, especially Caroline!
