The absolute best place to go on Friday nights! Nowhere else in Edinburgh compares!
Surly staff, bad crowd control, the club is essentially a series of poorly placed bottle necks. The queue to get in the door is usually about 40 minutes long and the wait for the cloakroom at the end of the night is about the same. It's overpriced for the experience you get. The DJ on the top floor is too preoccupied with the wenches in his booth to play any decent music and when he does, he cuts the song out half way through and plays it from the beginning. I tried to strike up a conversation with one of the bouncers on my way out to ask how many people were working behind the cloakroom and she became immediately hostile wittering on about the fact it's the biggest nightclub in Edinburgh. It has a similar capacity to all the others and none of them have anywhere near as many issues. I do not plan on going back to Atik any time soon.
Some great events, can be really dead sometimes though. Upstairs is so good when it’s packed.
Generally sticky and dirty, but the worst thing are the bouncers. Awful thugs on a power trip, who will remove paying customers at a whim, often laughing to each other. Dont go here on a night out, these people do not deserve your money.
Teen disco based around the concept how the world would look like if the naciz win the war. The bouncers are nice guys and plenty police hosted on the front if you considering to let your child go and have fun. But otherwise avoid the place.

This place is a scar on the local area...and there is always trouble and fighting.

It's not civilised by club standards, sticky carpets and a funky smell. But the staff there are lovely and the music is good if you like club/trance and they have a cheesy songs disco upstairs.
TS2 (Trainspotting 2) was filmed here. I played a part as a extra. It was really exhausting but i had a really good time.
Booked the VIP package for a stag doo and had a great night booking staff very nice. But sadly ruined by the bouncers who decided the stag wasn't getting back in from having a cigarette. Which is fine but wouldn't inform any of our party or get his jacket from the cloakroom. Usual power trip bouncers you tend to find nowadays.
Just had a fab night for my daughter's 25th birthday at the dream boys ,, it was an amazing show from start to finish and the boys were great and they definitely made my daughters night ,,would recommend anyone to go as the have fab night also want to thank the staff at cav for doing everything possible to make our night easier because my daughter is disabled they let her use the lift. The booths are very comfortable and the music was fab 😋 both my girls are going back soon .
