Auld Cross Keys Inn Description
The Inn was built in the 1800's as a bakehouse but later became a Coaching Inn. Situated in the picturesque village of Denholm, overlooking the village green we are centrally located to the Scottish Borders and as such provide an ideal base for Golfing, Fishing, Shooting, Walking, Cycling and Archery. Or, if you prefer, you can just explore the Borders and relax at the Cross Keys enjoying quality homecooked local produce in our dining room or cozy lounge bar with open fire, or something from our well stocked bar including Cask Ale and a large selection of Malt Whiskies. Our public bar offers pool table, dartboard and Sky TV also with open fire. Our Function Suite is ideal for any occasion and is available with no hire charge for functions from 40 to 140 people. The Function Suite leads directly through to our large sunny, south facing Patio Area which can accomodate a further 60 people. The Cross Keys Inn is proud to feature in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide and Scotland the Best.

its a long time since i was in this wondefull inn think it was 1980 when i was camping on a farm in denholm as a young officer in the boys brigade probably changed hands a number of times think i will have to give a visit asap ps i loved fhe good old basket meals Rob
We had our shift night out in here last night, the food was lovely, there was even a decent veggie option for me instead of the usual pasta with a tin of tomatoes chucked at it! The staff were friendly and welcoming, the bar was cosy, good selection of drinks available. Thanks for a fab evening �
We had a lovely meal here on the 22/07/2016, we arrived on speck, we were greeted by such considerate staff, saying they were going to struggle to find us a table as they were expecting a large party !! However the lady we spoke with decided to let us have a table for two, in a wee corner, but with a great view of the coming's and going's ! We had a lush meal, and were so impressed with the whole venue, we have decided to book a couple of nights here at some point soon ! Rooms look amazingly cummfie and if dinner was anything to o off the breakfasts will keep you going all day ! I love the border country and cannot wait to go back thank you !
We had a fantastic 4 nights at the Auld Cross Keys Inn. The owners and their staff are lovely people. Without exception they were polite, friendly, efficient and helpful. Our room was spotless. The menu is great and dinner each evening was delicious. Breakfast was also fantastic. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here.
The food was excellent and good selection of real ales.
It is an excellent venue for parties in highly recommend it. Looking forward to the beer festival in March.
Stopped off for lunch it was excellent as was the welcome from the staff and service will definitely call in again when we are in the area 👍

Lovely place. Friendly helpful staff. Went for dinner without booking and they squeezed us in even though it was in the lounge and apologised for not having table in dining room. Lovely food. Had dinner and went back for Sunday lunch carvery
Just had the most fantastic meal tonight....staff very welcoming, friendly and efficient....food was very tasty and the table decorations for Valentine’s Day were really lovely too. Even got two little red heart shaped chocolates when paying our bill ...well worth a visit!
It was perfect. The food is top notch. The service too. We were well looked after. Bikes are safely locked away over night so nothing to worry about. Good location over looking the village green. Thanks to the owners for a good overnight stay.
Great, friendly and welcoming place from the locals to Landlords Karen & Dave! Food lovely and its always a friendly atmosphere. Not stayed overnight ourselves but always seems a lot of happy customers and residents about. Highly recommend.

Fantastic service, food, and accommodations. We have visited several times and have enjoyed the facilities and surrounding area every time. Good selection of drinks from the attached pub.
Biker friendly pub that's why we stayed there good food and we were made very welcome. Room was very nice looking out onto the back garden it had its own shower. Had a good night in the bar with very friendly locals, all in all a great place to stay.

A great hotel in wonderful surroundings. I have stayed here a number of times to go walking in the Scottish Borders and it is perfect for it! The staff are always incredibly friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. The food has always been excellent and the owners can’t help out enough and have great local knowledge about the best sightseeing spots, hidden gems and local produce! I would recommend to anyone!
We got the usual friendly welcome from the owners and the food that we had was good. We'll be back there for the beer festival in March as it's always a good day out.
Popped in after the hizzy memorial run on Sunday at 5.30pm. Staff were lovely and informed us of a delay in food as they were busy. To be fair we did wait for quite a long time but we're kept informed and offered drinks. The food when it arrived was lovely clearly all fresh ingredients and very tasty the haggis bon bons are a winner. Will return next time I'm in the area �
