Auldhouse Community Church (formerly NEC) is an independent community church based on the south side of Glasgow. We have existed as a Christian witness in this area since 1905. Formerly we were known as Albert Hall, but since 1994 we have existed in our current location as Netherauldhouse Evangelical Church, until our name change to Auldhouse Community Church in October 2014.
Though we seek to function as an independant church (not affiliated to a central governing body or controlled by an overarching denomination), we nevertheless also seek to live and witness inter-dependantly with all Christian churches who acknowledge one God eternally existing as trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), the Bible as the inspired word of God and the good news of God's love shown in the person, ministry, death and life of Jesus Christ. We align ourselves in particular with what is known as the evangelical tradition, which emerged following the Reformation of the Church in the 16th century. Our emphasis is on the gospel (or good news) of Jesus Christ, by which everyone may experience reconciliation to God, conversion of heart and life and by which our society can be transformed and taste life as it was meant to be lived, under the reign of God.
As a fellowship we have experienced God's blessing over the years as we have sought to be a church which is faithful to the message of God's love expressed to us in Jesus Christ. During this time we may have changed how we function - after all, our God may be unchanging, but he is certainly never boring or irrelevant, and he is always at work doing new things in his world and through his church.
