TEMPORARY SALON CLOSURE
Well here’s a post I never thought I’d be typing ..,
... Today we will close the salon doors for the forseeable future. Following government guidance we feel this is the best way forward to keep ourselves, clients and families safe in these ever changing uncertain times. We all need to do our bit to stop the spread.
As a small business the coming weeks / months are going to be the toughest we’ve faced, but we will be back!
On Monday I will contact everyone booked in to ensure you’ve seen this, please do not attend your appointments. We will not have access to the salon phone, but can be contacted on here throughout.
Finally, can I just thank each and everyone one of you who have been there for us over this testing time, your support is what keeps us going!
Please please stay home (if you can ... frontline workers you are amazing btw and we can’t thank you enough!) stay safe and look after each other!
I love you all and you’ve no idea how much I’ll miss the chats / laughs I get to have daily!

Me today!

Good morning people...
As we enter another week of uncertainty I really just wanted to share with you all how amazing you all are!
Understandably there’s been a lot of cancellations this week, but the thoughtfulness and genuine concern I’ve had for (myself and) the business has been overwhelming.
... It’s so reassuring to know my customers / clients (friends!) care so much, when they all have their own worries and concerns.
Our main priority of course is health and in a time when it could be so easy to be ‘selfish’ the opposite has been shown.
Let’s carry on riding the storm together and I can’t wait to get a hold of all the monobrows on the other side of this crazy crazy time!
I really do feel privileged to have you as my clients and friends. Stay safe. Love you all! (Ok I’m greeting now 😢)

Good Evening All
I’m sorry, I know your timeline will be cluttered with the dreaded CV 🦠 but I just wanted to pop on and let you know where we stand as I’ve had a few messages.
Aura will be open as planned this week and beyond, it goes without saying we will be monitoring the situation going forward and of course keep everyone updated ASAP if that changes.
... I’m not going to insult your intelligence telling you what to do and what not to do! I think we are all well aware of the precautions we have to take by now (happy birthday to you 👐🏼 💦) please be rest assured we are doing all we can within the salon to keep it as safe and clean an environment as possible for you all.
Of course if for any reason you want / need to cancel you appointment you can do at any time!
If anything can come of this it’s the community spirit shown (except of course for the loo roll hoggers?!) Please stay safe and look after yourself and each other.
Ps ... if anyone has any tips on how to occupy children without their football for weeks on end and to stop them eating my ‘supplies’ like it’s an eating challenge that’d be great!!

Back in the salon tomorrow! ... Looking forward to seeing all you lovely gals and hearing all your holiday stories!
I’m fully booked this week, as of next week there’s a few spaces here and there. As always drop me a message to secure any dates you need.
My diary is made up until end of June so feel free to get organised with holiday, wedding, hen do dates etc.
From now on my working hours will be changing slightly Tue 10-2:30 Wed 10-9 Thursday 10-9 Friday 1-9 (Friday later start is temporary over the next couple of months)
These dates may change in prom season etc, to suit demand.
So still 3 late nights to fit all you workers in!
As always I will be dropping a Tuesday in the school holidays. (Pesky kids!🤪😂)

We survived ... 👏🏼 🎅🏼🎄
I’m back in the salon today and looking forward to catch up with all you lovely ladies after the madness of the festivities 🥳
... Also a huge Thank You for all the lovely gifts! I opened them all on Christmas Day and felt very ‘loved’ you generous bunch!
Although Flynn did comment that my clients must think I’m a smelly, heavy drinker who eats way too much chocolate?! (Kinda accurate!)
In all seriousness ... I am very grateful to each and everyone of my clients that continue to keep me so busy and I can honestly say you all feel more like friends as the years go on! Thank you for your loyalty 🥰😘
Anyway time to get the Spray Tan Gun dusted off and get you all even more beautiful for all the Hogmanay celebrations 🎊

Mad Friday ....
Today is my last day in the salon before the big man comes 🎅🏼! ... ( I know I know... cheeky wee early finish!)
Looking forward to seeing everyone today and getting in the Xmas spirit.
The salon will be open tomorrow and Monday with Claire holding the forte.

Dear clients,
... We have decided after careful consideration to increase our prices slightly.
Our costs / outgoings have risen steadily every year and we have always absorbed this increase but to allow us to continue to grow the business we have had to incorporate this into our pricing structure going forward.
Most business will do an annual increase, but this is the first time that we (Andrea previously in Blaze and now both of us in Aura) have increased our prices in SIX years!
We have reviewed everything carefully and have kept changes to a minimum.
The new prices will come into effect as of 1st Jan 2020.
As always, where we can, we will continue to offer package discounts and special offers!
Our new price lists will be in salon this month!
Thank you once again for all your continued support and we look forward to keeping you all preened, pampered and maintained in 2020!!
